The real Sedona 1960's character has been lovingly maintained and enhanced in the architecturally designed and Unique Mid Century Modern home on 500 Coffee Pot Drive. The furnishings, true to the later MCM period, down to the genuine watercolors and gilded bar-ware, will transport you to the elegance of the period. Cork flooring throughout, and for your greater enjoyment, modern comforts include supremely comfortable bedding, new SS kitchen appliances and a recently remodeled sky lit bathroom.

500 Coffee Pot Drive is more than exquisitely stylish -- it is totally comfortable and as ecologically friendly as we could achieve. Most windows and doors have been replaced with ultra high quality thermopane patio doors, sliders and French doors, and operable screened windows. The owners are landscape specialists, committed to the healthiest environment we could provide. Pinon pines and Rocky Mountain junipers provide shade where needed on the deck and backyard patios. The multitude of birds will thrill you -- remember to fill the bird-feeder on the front deck, keep water in the fountain on the deck outside of the dining area, and use the field glasses we leave for you to view the orioles, bluejays, finches, cardinals, hawks, doves and more. Outside of each bedroom is a field-stone patio for your morning coffee. This patio steps down to another stone patio set up for cozy dining and a Weber grill large enough for entertaining the new friends you will make in one of the most beautiful places on the planet!

New SS gas range, ref. and microwave complement the 60's modern kitchen; Also remodeled are the sky lit soaking tub/shower with porcelain vessel sink and 2 stage low water use toilet. Two master bedrooms: first with queen memory foam bed (Eco-friendly and new), desk, chairs and bookshelves, and a clothes closet the length of the room! The second bedroom has 2 twin beds (combine to make king), comfy reading area, and large closet. Should you desire, we can offer the guest studio which is separate from the house on its own lock and makes a sweet extra visitor getaway. New LG steam front loading washer and dryer -- what's not to love??

You will definitely appreciate the air conditioning, washer and dryer and Dish network service, which includes HBO. Cuddle on the new wide chaise lounge to watch Blu-Ray DVDs, 3D movies (six sets of glasses!), or your favorite programs on the new LG LED/LCD 47' HDTV. Yes, it tilts and rotates so it can be enjoyed by several seated on the leather sofa and chairs. The stacked stone gas fireplace is itself the central stunning feature of the great room and features a trough and river rock gas insert. Ask about the deck hot tub (New 12/21).

500 Coffee Pot Drive is available for one to seven month rentals (it is our own getaway during several of the winter months). Please contact me, the owner, Marcia Caldwell with your request so that I can provide the rental fees for your stay. I have been managing my other Sedona vacation rental, 'Sedona cabin with awesome views; walk to Oak Creek' for some time and will always do my utmost to make your vacation memorably wonderful.

These are what make 500 Coffee Pot Drive so special:

Comfort: New gas pack on roof: efficient and less noise produced while providing maximum comfort whether winter heating or summer air conditioning. Ceiling fan circulates air and newer operable windows provide cool breezes in our beautiful spring and fall. The stacked stone gas fireplace creates warmth and ambience with an inspiring flame shot through ceramic rocks which appear as river rocks. And, the furniture includes an oversize chaise lounge for reading or TV viewing. Duette blinds insulate and provide privacy and sun protection, while the presence of large windows throughout the home brings in natural light and warmth when blinds are open.

Style: Architect designed (a protege of the famous Howard Madole) in 1965, this period piece Mid-Century Modern home has seen its character lovingly maintained by its owners, down to the furnishings. Modern stainless steel appliances (incl LG Washer/Dryer, top of the line) and remodeled bathroom, new plumbing and light fixtures and replaced thermal pane windows and doors complement the style and decor.

Professional Maintenance: Housekeeping by Complete Clean of Sedona provides the utmost care and quality products and cleaning. The spa and landscape are also professionally maintained on a weekly basis, and windows and tree maintenance are professionally done at least twice annually. The owners are retired landscape architectural and contracting professionals so a healthy environment is foremost on their concerns.

No Toxins used! We are environmentalists, actively seeking out only botanical, biologically sensitive products which cannot harm people, insects or plants. We also replace furnace filters regularly.

Bedding: Queen bed in first master bedroom was custom ordered from the leading lowest toxin memory foam maker in the USA (San Francisco), Teri-Pedic. It has great support and profound comfort, and it has been off-gassed in a chamber -- you can't find a better mattress. The king bed in the second master is two twins with a channel filler and strap connecting them, so they are very comfortable for those wishing to have a king bed and can be divided to two twins for those whose sleeping needs require this. Newer pillow top high quality mattresses are a dream (literally). Sheets are 800 to 1600 t.c. and 'tropical' comforter is Tommy Bahama.

Bath: New tub is very wide, making soaking and showering great for adults and kids of all ages. Grab bar for safety, tile surround for easy clean and beauty, and skylight caps it off with natural light and celestial beauty. Towels are USA high quality and some are extra long. Toilet is new low flush. Body care products are USA, natural and fine enough for very discriminating guests (and owners too).

Spa/jacuzzi: Just a year old, this multi-jet, adjustable nozzle spa will be the greatest source of relaxation, stress relief and pleasure any time of day or night. Extremely private yet with all the benefits of open air - dark sky ordinance of Sedona and typically cloudless nights makes certain that you will have a gorgeous celestial light show. Best of all, low chemical use eliminates chlorine smell and drying effect on skin, since it uses a blue light sanitizer, and it is professionally maintained every week. Large towels are provided, and even spa slippers are kept for guests' use. Take a candle out with you -- all provided. Sits six comfortably and has chaise, led lights (optional) and subtle waterfall. Aaaah!

Views: Coffee Pot Rock is the 'star' since the street is named for it, and you will view it from the redwood deck, living and dining room, kitchen and bedroom. You will also be dazzled by sunsets which linger for half an hour over Thunder Mountain and behind Chimney Rock, or watching hot air balloons rise over the Secret Mountain Wilderness while sipping morning coffee.

Property: The backyard is mostly secluded and all flagstone with river rock edges. Vintage patio set with new cushions and umbrella table will invite you to enjoy that shish kebab and grilled veggies meal just prepared on the large Webber grill. You are on vacation -- have fun in this gorgeous setting under the native pinyon pines (probably 50 years old) and juniper/dense shrub surround. Stacked stone walls complement the architecture and set this house apart from your typical suburban setting.

Convenient location: I must mention the incredible location -- just minutes up the road from the Natural Grocer, Walgreen's, Basha's Supermarket (barbecues most weekends and great homestyle roasted anaheim and jalapeño peppers), four consignment shops and a thrift store, runner's shop, India Palace Rst., and a Subway. Then there's the entertainment -- Harkins Cinema 6 and Mary D. Fisher Theater, home of Sedona International Film Festival held early March annually. Plenty of night life options just a short drive in any direction. Catch the Lynx bus to uptown or Cottonwood, or walk along enjoying Sedona's venues on its main road. Picazzo's Pizza and SedonaFit (highly recommended local gym) are walking distance downhill.

Trails: Uphill walk just a few minutes to the Teacup and Sugarloaf Mtn. trailheads for great exercise and views. Drive a mile or so further to Thunder Mountain and Chimney Rock trailhead. Most of the fabulous trails from the Secret Mountain Wilderness to Devil's Bridge are only a five to fifteen minute drive. The guest brochure basket and bookshelf offer hiking and recreational options.

Pets: Owner approved pets can vacation with you! I keep bowls and mats for your four legged loves, and a generous size dog run in the side yard. Where others charge huge nightly fees, we charge a nominal fee for the entire visit.

I had a wonderful stay July 2012 in Sedona at Marcia Caldwell's vacation

rental at 500 Coffee Pot Drive. The pictures do not do it justice! From its

location near enough to town to walk to shopping and entertainment, to

proximity to hiking trails, yet absolute privacy from anyone passing by on

the road, my girlfriend and I knew we had found what we were looking for.

Marcia's detailed instructions for Using 500 Coffee Pot Drive were really

helpful, but what impressed us most was the care taken in selecting high

quality amenities like organic shower and skincare products, Calphalon

cookware, espresso coffee maker, all the utensils and bakeware you might

need, spices and condiments, candles and books...and comfortable, beautiful

bedding and furnishings.



Sedona is a must-stay city surrounded by gorgeous red rock mountains,

diverse entertainment, shopping and food venues, and wildlife, national

forests and scenic roadways. It is close enough to visit the Grand Canyone,

Jerome, Flagstaff, and Scottsdale, while being a destination I return to

frequently. I will definitely stay at either the Coffee Pot Drive home or

her Sedona cabin near Red Rock Crossing (50 Zane Grey Lane).



Marcia recommended we eat at Thai Palace and Heartline Cafe -- both were

great choices. Thanks, Marcia for providing us a serene and romantic

getaway!

Our family of 4 felt right at home, mid 60's design with a modern touch, well decorated, great views, nice quiet neigborhood close to shopping, hiking trails. Didn't want to leave beautiful sedona, oh and did I mention the jaquzzi was perfect after a long days hike! Owner is very accessable and accomodating. Thanks for a great stay!

Truly a home away from home.

Description of the property is spot on and Marcia has thoroughly covered all the details avoiding any misunderstandings. And she was always a phone call away to assist with special needs. After enjoying the sites and spectacular hikes we were happy to stay home, throw a steak on the grill enjoy a glas of wine and wrap up the day star gazing in the hot tub. Looking forward to another stay.

Best place to stay in Sedona

We were very happy with our stay and will definitely return. Rental process was clear and straightforward. The property was just as described. We are yet to find a decent restaurant in Sedona (plus I really don’t like staggering out for breakfast), so being able to cook for ourselves was a real plus. The gourmet cooktop gave more BTU than my own at home. Proximity to Bashar and another organic market (comparable to Whole Food) is a real plus. We were in Sedona to hike and the Jacuzzi on balcony hit the spot real-gooood. Our dog (a golden retriever) had plenty of room to run. Easy access to everywhere in town and you can even walk to a trailhead that takes you to the Soldier Pass / Brins Mesa. Free WIFI, a charmer of a fireplace, well designed restroom, high tech washer/dryer… the list of goods just goes on…

A small tip – if you are an avid cook like I am, you might find the kitchen tools (knives, pans, spatula…) are not to your liking. This is to be expected for the most VR (or they will disappear before you get there). I knew this, so I just brought my own. Small detail.

This is a gem of a place and we hope to go back there for our next hiking trip to Sedona.

Excellent rental in West Sedona

My wife and I visited Sedona in Oct 2013 and rented this location for a week. The home is as advertised and the setting just as beautiful as the pictures suggest (actually more beautiful). It is conveniently located in West Sedona and close to hiking trails. The home is very clean and well appointed. There was not a modern convenience missing that we could find and the hot tub was a nightly treat for sore muscles during our stay. The appliances are all very modern and there are very detailed instructions on use and who to call if there are problems available.

Both before, during, and after our vacation Marcia (the owner) was available via e-mail to respond to inquiries of any nature and quick to provide responses (or find them if she didn't have them at hand) when we had concerns. Our rapport and communication with her was excellent and she helped assuage any concerns that arose quickly and completely.

We would highly recommend renting this location to anyone who plans to visit Sedona.

One item of note that we overlooked in the poster is that there is a guest quarters on the grounds and if you do not rent it yourself other guests may be present. Their presence is not intrusive nor do you share facilities but it is worth noting that they are located at the head of the driveway so you will know they are there. The driveway is more than ample to handle multiple vehicles so it is not an inconvenience of any sort.

I've been lucky to stay in both properties. I've had a wonderful experience every time. Marcia is immensely helpful, there is nothing she doesn't know about Sedona or her properties, she is a definite wealth of knowledge! Anyone of her properties is a much better choice, it is a guarantee of a stay in a place that has been meticulously cleaned and designed specifically for the ultimate vacation stay, without stress and hassles, that fulfill much more than a hotel could. Marcia is a kind, dynamic woman who genuinely cares and I have been witness to her attention to detail. I wholeheartedly give a 5 star review to both the cabin and coffee pot and highly recommend each to anyone interested in a Sedona stay.

Great house and great location

Very lovely home and the proximity to shopping AND trailheads is really a great convenience. This is so much nicer that staying at a hotel! All the comforts of home, full kitchen, washer and dryer and a really comfortable bed. You can see the balloons taking off behind Chiminey rock in the morning from the great big picture windows. My son and I really enjoyed our stay. Would go there again.

I have a new dog run on the side of the house, and 2 patio sets in backyard; chaise, chairs and tables on wraparound redwood, private front deck. Ask about guest studio, separate from the main house with its own keyed entry. It can be rented separately, but calendar reflects only main house rental. Main house guests may want to add the guest studio to their rental for the extra separate sleeping and work space. I am very flexible, so please contact me!
