About Holly Algood
Hawi is a special place for us because of the clean air, peace and spirituality of this part of the island. We have lived, off and on, in Hawaii for over 30 years and return as often as possible.
Holly Algood purchased this house in 2005
Why Holly Algood chose Hawi
We were drawn to Hawi because of the authenticity of the lifestyle and comfort of the people, as well as the natural beauty and climate. We love waking up to the songbirds at dawn, and the stillness at night. We enjoy the walk to Kapa'au each morning to have coffee with our friends at Nanbu Courtyard, swimming at Mahukona, and the beaches at Mauna Kea and Kua Bay. But most of all, we enjoy the peace and beauty of the North Kohala Coast.
What makes this house unique
Staying at Hale Pueo makes us feel what it was like to be in the old Hawaii, before the resorts, when life was simple and folks depended on one another for all of their activities.
