Beautiful family home. Very romantic and private. Our home is completely air conditioned as well as hot water. We have three bedrooms, all with comfortable queen sized beds.
We are located in the village of Playa Corona, San Carlos. Our beach is very secluded and private. You may also relax poolside while hanging out in one of our hammocks under our beautiful “bohio” (thatched roof hut).
We have hundreds of books, c.d.’s ,magazines or surf the net with our free internet service. We are located 15 minutes driving time from great restaurants and supermarkets (open 24 hours). There are also many other beaches and towns you may want to visit.
Visit the farmers market on Sunday in the beautiful mountain town of El Valle. Only 30 minutes away by car straight up the mountains. This is a must on your schedule. There are 2 championship golf courses within 15 minutes and one under construction (9 holes finished and opened).
We have everything to make your stay quite enjoyable, whether you are visiting with your family or just your significant other. Depending on the time of the year you visit, help us eat mangoes right from our tree. We could not possibly eat them all.
If total relaxation is what you are looking for, this is your spot. Complimentary daily maid service.
You will love the privacy of this property. Most of our guests claim to have barely left the house during their stay. It is absolutely relaxing and beautiful.
We had a wonderful stay at this house in Panama! Everything was well equipped and taken care of. Vincent, the on site caretaker & his family would help with whatever they could. Pool & yard was cleaned every morning. The whole area is quiet and you have miles of beach with no one on 5 min down the street from the house. Access to supplies (food & Drink) is fairly close with a local store just up the street. For a better supply Cornado, a town about 15 min away has everything you'd need. You will need a car though. The owner, Mario was very attentive & called to make sure everything was ok or if we needed anything. Carnival time can be interesting, I definitely recommend NOT DRIVING during peak times while it's on. Take a tour, Roadrunner tours works very well and are very reasonable! They are from Canada & speak English! Knowing Spanish is a DEFINATE asset! If you don't you will encounter times where language can be a problem. We don't but managed just fine! In all a GREAT PLACE to stay!!
Photos and description were accurate. The home was clean and well-appointed. Victor(housekeeper) was great, he was always available without being intrusive. Received a courtesy call from the owner minutes after arrival. It was a pleasure and I'd stay there again.
this was a great vacation experience for us. The place is well maintained, the owner and the onsite house keeper were very provided an excellent customer service.
We had a great week-end with our three kids who enjoyed the pool and the sea at a walking distance. The house has everything you need and is well maintained. The garden too. A great big house for family retreat.
I think we will go back!!
We arrived in Panama on a read-eye flight from the US. Everyone was pretty beaten up but after we got our rental the mood improved. The owner has provide an extremely detailed directions to the property. The house is well positioned on an easy 1.5-2 hour drive from the airport. Traffic on the first several miles was the worst because of construction. Try to get some kind of GPS guidance. We missed the exit for the house as well. It's not readily visible from the main road and we had to come back. That gave us the opportunity to see the neighborhood. There are plenty of supermarkets and restaurants close by. We found some fishermen in Playa Blanca and got fresh fish for $5/lbs. Very delicious on the BBQ in the house.
The property itself is very private. There was enough room for two families, one of them with kids. We had a third family rent a house nearby. They spent every evening at our property and the pool. The BBQ was indispensable for most of the evenings. We don't speak Spanish and couldn't communicate with the live in property keeper. Victor and his wife, however, were easily accessible and kept everything clean. We could at any time call or email Mario and he would solve any problem. The kids noted that the DVD player was not working but we never ever needed it. We had great time with our friend, the pool, the BBQ and more beer :) My wife said that the kitchen needs remodeling but it served our needs perfectly. The weather was hot and humid but the air conditioning inside was working well although a bit noisy upstairs.
There was a great, almost private, beach nearby and we walked to there several times. In the morning it's all for you to enjoy. Some locals come to the beach in the afternoon and on the weekends. We did a lot of day trips to the nearby towns, jungle and beaches. A car is a must.
The house and grounds including the pool and outside sitting areas are beautiful and comfortable. We stayed for ten days and spent many hours lounging around the pool. The caretaker and his wife were also helpful in making our stay enjoyable. Our major problem at the house was that the roof had many bats living in it and due to the ceiling construction of wooden slats, large amounts of accumulated bat guano dropped down onto several locations in our upstairs bedrooms. When this was brought to the owner’s attention he promptly acted and workmen came to the house several times to resolve the issue. Sealing one area above a light fixture helped to stop a major amount of droppings, for which we were thankful. He mentioned that he would take the tiles off the roof to remedy the problem. Since that was the long term solution and as we had nowhere else to go we agreed to stay in the house provided the housekeeper thoroughly vacuum and wet mop the upstairs bedrooms each day which she did. This helped to control the droppings to some degree but we constantly wondered whether we were breathing contaminated dust and droppings which continued to rain down in small amounts from the ceiling. This tainted our whole stay. Unless the bats and accumulated guano are removed from the roof we would not recommend staying in the upstairs bedrooms.
The beach was ok to walk but not easy to swim. There are many rocks which are evident during low tide which made swimming difficult. We found a beach area to the south beyond the Wyndham Hotel that could be accessed during low tide that had a sandy bottom where the rocks had been removed where it was nice to sit in and relax. The beach near the river is unfortunately littered with bottles, cans and paper products from people and families who come mainly during the weekend and many leave behind whatever they brought for the day. This was very sad to witness and took much joy away from an otherwise natural sea coast.
We also visited El Valle, Coronado, and Farallon and found many nice restaurants. We recommend, La Fogata in Farallon, Café Coronado and Rincon del Chief in Coronado and Los Camaisones on the Interamericana (km 104).
Home is located in the village of Playa Corona. Very small and secluded, yet close to great restaurants and bars. Visit the farmers market in El Valle located 20 minutes away. Go surfing, snorkeling or simply enjoy one of our hammocks poolside. Beautiful small towns within short driving distance. Enjoy golf, fishing or playing at a local casino within 20 minutes.
