Take a picnic and enjoy the gentle rapids and the long relaxing stretches of the river. Take in all the wildlife and why not go for a swim?

Lauzerte has an excellent equestrian centre and near by there is 9 hole golf course at Sauveterre, of 5244 metres in a wooded valley with water hazards and it is suitable for players of all standards. Walibi theme park and the Vallee de Loisirs are a must.
The countryside is superb for walking, part of the famous pilgrimage route to Santiago de Compostella passes nearby.
Markets are every day of the week. The Tarn et Garonne is justifiably proud of its farmers markets which can be found every day of the week.

Wildlife is plentiful and interesting. Red Kites fly over the fields next to the house and over the lake. Black Kites, Hen Harriers, and Lapwings with their aerobatics are fun to watch and we have an owl which likes to visit us. Buzzards and kestrels are common, often perching on telegraph poles beside the lanes.
Closer to earth, wild boar, deer, badgers and hares are often seen nearby in the fields.
