Wonderful Condo, Decent Building

The owners were great to deal with, they truly love this condo, and we feel the same way after our visit. The Sapphire Beach Club is prefectly situated, you can be anywhere on the island after a short drive. The unit itself is well decorated and it is obvious that the owners have put a lot of time and effort into creating a great rental experience. The views from the Condo were great, the balcony facing the ocean was a great place to have coffee in the morning and a cocktail in the evening.
The Sapphire Beach Club is trying to recover from years of terrible management, there is a new GM in place, and he is making a difference. I mention that only because all of the shortcomings we expereinced ou our trip were building related, not the result of any problems with the condo. For example, the cable tv worked very poorly during our visit, but you don't go to St. Marteen to watch TV, but if you advertise cable tv, it should be provided. Also, the WI FI was awful, there was no signal in the room and the only hot spot was in the lobby, and they wanted $45 a week to sign on (people in the lobby using the wi fi freely shared the password).
The restraunt and bar have reopened, the food was good, the service was a little slow, but acceptable. To make a long story short, the Condo gets a grade of "A", the building gets a "B-", the blended experience gets a "B+", good enough to make us want to come back for more!
