This has to be on of the top ten views on Cape Cod! The view covers a beautiful winding estuary, striking sand dunes, Sandy Neck Lighthouse, Barnstable Harbor, and miles beyond! The feeling is a combination of the awe of nature and a special feeling of peacefulness.
The house has been renovated inside and out. The kitchen and baths are new, the building has been painted and has new siding. The new multi level deck system has stainless steel cable rails that showcase the signature view.
The property also overlooks the Gray's Beach boardwalk. The boardwalk allows people to walk out into the marsh and get a better view of the bay. Our house is privately situated , nestled on a short dirt lane the ends at the property. There are three structures on our point of land, two houses and a cottage. The setting is rural, with wildlife and nature dominating the scene. We have a very close view of the osprey nest and there are two additional osprey nests in the woods behind our property. It's hard to capture the feeling in words or a photo, but this place is special. The view goes for 10-20 miles and covers 270 degrees of you line of site. There are three decks, all at different levels. The upper deck, off the loft bedroom, captures the best view, showcasing the birds in flight, swooping and diving, the ospreys with their catches of the day and the sunsets. The sunsets here are well known in Cape Cod's 'Sunset Alley'. The minute you get here, you'll know that you're on vacation.
The new Barnstable airport is just 15 minutes away and the Nantucket ferry terminal is also just 15 minutes away.
We are a mile and a half north of historic Route 6A. Cape Cod playhouse is 15 minutes away, 5 star restaurants are within the same distance. Route 6A is well known for antique shops, clam shacks and art galleries. The quaint village of Yarmouth Port has excellent examples of 19th century homes lining 6A. Yet, there is east access to grocery and other essentials.
The house itself is beautifully designed and handsomely furnished. It's a contemporary with high ceilings in just about every room. My company has refurbished every surface and it shows.
Bedroom #1 is located on the mezzanine level and is the largest bedroom. It has 14' ceilings and a skylight. There is a king sized bed (firm)and a single daybed in the room with a 32' flat screen HDTV. The room is air conditioned and has a large closet. There is original art, carvings and paintings that adorn the room. The walls are freshly painted a very relaxing shade of grey mist.
Bedroom #2 is smaller, but has a great view. There is a queen sized bed ,cathedral ceilings and a skylight, as well as AC. The bay window captures the best bedroom views in the houseand includes a window seat. Well furnished, dresser, small closet and a very firm, good quality mattress.
Bedroom #3 is the smallest bedroom, but is perched on the highest level of the house. I call it the master bedroom because is has it's own deck with majestic views of the marsh, bay and beyond. There is a queen sized bed with new Laura Ashley pillow top mattress (soft) and a large closet, as well as it's own bath (completely done over). It has its own staircase and privacy.
The kitchen boasts new cabinets, its own breakfast bar and a wonderful breakfast nook overlooking the view. It’s accented by a beautiful white Villory and Boch porcelain sink. Appliances include dishwasher, electric range, cabinet style refrigerator and built-in microwave.
The main bath on the mezzanine level has a tub/shower, sink and toilet accented with a glass vessel sink.
The living room has a floor to ceiling stone fireplace that rises 16' and is the focal point of the interior. The living area has new leather furniture and a new 42' HDTVwith Blu-ray DVD and PS3. There is a sound system in the main room.
Experienced Cape Cod travelers know this area as Gray's Beach. We are north of Route 6A and are located just 18 minutes over the Sagamore Bridge. The boat ramp is 2 minutes walking distance and Gray's Beach is the same. The beach is very safe for young children, shallow water and no rip tides. There is a play area for children with swings and there are walking trails everywhere.
It's a place to find yourself again and let the natural flow of life wash the stresses of modern day living away. You'll know the minute that you get here, you can feel it. Even though this property is close to civilization, there is a remote feel about it. The yard is nice and clean, but very natural, spacious and welcoming. It's an extremely private setting.
I'm also the builder and manager of this property. You can enter Maritime Properties Cape Cod in your search engine to speak to me directly either by phone or email. Thanks for considering my home for your Cape Cod vacation.
