Located in the heart of Venice, on a quiet tree-lined street, the famous Abbot Kinney and Marina are just steps away. Designed by noted architect, John Porter, with vaulted wood ceilings and plenty of skylights, it’s bright and airy, and totally relaxing… In one of the best areas in Los Angeles, California, it's no wonder renowned architect, Frank Gehry, has chosen to build his own home right down the street! Stop by the French Market Cafe for coffee & croissants, then stroll 15-20 minutes through the scenic canals to the beach. (Or bike to the beach in about 7 minutes on one of our 2 new bikes for guests.)
The house has a fully equipped kitchen that opens to a private deck, perfect for a BBQ and al fresco dining. Set in tropical gardens with mature palms, and giant birds of paradise, the deck is a tranquil setting. Indoors, you can cuddle around the cozy fireplace. Sit under the orange tree in the tropical garden and, great for a picnic or sitting by the fire pit.
In the Main House, each of the three bedrooms sleeps two; 2 queen beds and 2 twins that can made up as a king or as two singles. There is also a trundle day bed upstairs, a queen aerobed or couch available to sleep up to a total of 11 guests.
Many say this is their favorite place; we have lots of repeat guests!
Amenities include: free wireless internet, off street parking, tropical gardens, firepit, BBQ, fireplace, plasma TV, cable, DVD, washer/dryer, a large deck, and an espresso machine! Linens and towels are provided. And we now have two bikes for guests!
It's located in a quiet residential neighborhood close to Abbot
Kinney, the main street in Venice with fine dining and unique
shopping. It's a 20 minute walk to the beach, through the scenic
canals, or a 7 minute bike ride...and we now have two bikes for
guests! All bedrooms have flat TVs, wireless internet, and cable. All linens and towels, beach towels are included.

There is street parking for one car and more free parking 1/2 block away on nearby Abbot Kinney. There may be also a space for a small car in back, please inquire.

This is a unique home. After looking in the Venice area for many years, I finally found the perfect house in a great location! It's tucked away on a quiet one way tree-lined residential street, yet walkable to Abbot Kinney, the canals, and the beach.
ACTIVITIES AND ATTRACTIONS, MINUTES AWAY
You'll find the world-famous Venice Beach Boardwalk on the beach! On Abbot Kinney Blvd. there are plenty specialty shops, excellent restaurants and trendy art galleries. Just north in Santa Monica, Main Street is fun; there's the Farmer's Market, the Santa Monica Pier and Amusement Park, and the hip Third Street Promenade with shops, restaurants and movies. Just south in Marina del Rey you can take a cruise, enjoy water-side dining, and take the Flyer over to Santa Catalina Island.
It's close to everything: the canals, shopping, the Venice Boardwalk and the white sandy beach, where you'll find volleyball, biking, basketball and just about every outdoor activity, including the famous Muscle Beach. Or, head to the water for swimming, surfing, kayaking, windsurfing, sailing, shelling and deep-sea fishing.
