A beautiful modern farmhouse on three private acres. Lovingly restored; designed by a prominent Maine architect to retain the home’s classic New Englander charm, with completely new kitchen, new bathrooms, gleaming new wide plank pine floors throughout, new windows, new appliances, new mattresses, new everything. A comfortable and inviting home: sparkling clean, light, airy and open.
Our ideals renters are a mature couple, or couples, who can appreciate the cleanliness and tranquility of the house and property and who would be willing to maintain the house in its current condition.
Three bedrooms sleep up to six people: The master queen bedroom downstairs is connected to a large private master bathroom. The 2nd queen bedroom upstairs and the 3rd bedroom upstairs (with two twin beds) both easily access the 2nd full bathroom.
There are beautiful outdoor spaces: decks, large grassy lawns, fields, woods, and rocky ledges. Sunset views from spacious windows in large open living/dining area.
IN THE BEST POSSIBLE LOCATION…
Perfectly located halfway between the idyllic white sands of Goose Rocks Beach and the lovely quaint downtown of Kennebunkport – two miles from each. The characteristic fishing/lobstering village of Cape Porpoise is also just two miles away. Just a short drive to many other local beaches, numerous hiking and biking areas such as the Rachel Carson Wildlife Refuge and Conservation Trust land, and to countless other sights and activities (see points of interest map, below).
Downtown Kennebunkport is filled with shops, galleries, local artist offerings, and restaurants to suit everyone's tastes - from fine dining with a full range of lobster and seafood offerings to local breweries and chowder and clam shacks.
Spend the day luxuriating on the spectacular and tranquil Goose Rocks Beach, swim in its warm (for Maine!) waters. Enjoy nearby tennis, golf, or horse riding. Do some local sightseeing, take a boat ride, see a light house. Have a beer at the famous Federal Jack's Brewery. Experience fine dining at the elegant Pier 77 in Cape Porpoise or enjoy a simple fish fry with the locals at the Pilot House. Return to your inviting 'new' home to gaze at the bright stars from your deck, catch a firefly, or listen to the night-time music of the frogs and crickets.
Only a thirty minute drive south from Portland’s International Jetport, or a 1 hour and 15 minute drive north from Boston’s Logan International Airport.

The Goose Rocks Beach area first captured my heart when I discovered it during my college years as a student at Bates College. It had been a long-standing dream to spend time in this area with my family. This vacation rental makes possible the realization of that dream: our kids have now grown up playing annually on this same beach that I fell in love with as a young adult. Having moved to many different areas of the country, Kennebunkport remains our nostalgic 'home base' and we cherish the family time we spend here.
This home's easy accessibility from the airports in Portland and Boston is a huge draw for our family, making trips here easy and uncomplicated. The abundance of natural beauty and wealth of fun activities gives this area endless appeal. We feel especially grateful for the home's wonderful location - something we hadn't fully realized at the time of purchase. Its proximity to so many activities we enjoy - beaches, hiking, biking - encouraged us to completely renovate the house in 2009-2011. This restoration has been a labor of love in which we have fully invested ourselves. Renting our beloved Maine home to like-minded people who can appreciate the many unique charms and offerings of both the house and the area is what makes it possible for us to maintain the home for future generations of our family and guests to enjoy.

- To secure reservation, guest must send to owner the signed Occupancy Agreement along with fifty percent (50%) of total due (as outlined in the Agreement). This is non-refundable.
- Balance due 20 days prior to stay, non-refundable.
- Security (damage) Deposit of $1500 in a separate check due prior to stay, refunded upon departure.
- All payments made via check to home owner.
