Spacious homely self contained apartment within a friendly family run villa. Open plan lounge c/w bed settee (makes small double bed and has privacy curtain) and pool table. Open plan kitchen with all needed for self catering. Master bedroom c/w double bed and wardrobe. Bedroom 2 has 2 single beds and wardrobe. Box room has single bed or cot and cabinet (suit child or small adult) Large shower room c/w sink , mirror. Private porch and view of your pool, palms and Ifach (Calpe rock) For your own use there is the 9mt x 4.5mt Pool, Outdoor kitchen c/w gas bbq, fridge, table, and chairs. Also there is an exercise machine. Casa Karija is situated on a wide road with very little traffic and is therefore usually very quiet.

The apartment has a nice Spanish homely feel about it. Main bedrooms have locks and are well spaced apart. A welcome pack is left in the apartment with our compliments. (no need to rush out for shopping immediately) Guest enjoy their holiday here with many returning. Pool has lilos floats etc. In house Baby sitting - carer service available at reasonable rates by uk approved carer.

Calpe is a beautiful town, and is easily recognised by the 330 mtr rock that stands between the two beaches. The rock (ifach) can be walked up by the fit enthusiast, and offers a spectacular view of the town. With a 35 min drive from Calpe you can visit Guadalest this stunning old village with its many cave houses that have been made into museums has been voted one of the best places to visit in Spain. We have a flea market on Wednesdays also a large traditional Spanish market every Saturday in Calpe. Festivals are a major event for the people of Calpe and visitors from far and wide. Below is a list of the major festivals being held: 5th January: The Three Kings End of February: German Carnival 19th March: Fallas (St. Joseph's Day) 24th June: Hogueras de San Juan 16th July: Celebration to honour the patron saint of 'la Virgen del Carmen' 5th August: Festival to honour 'la Virgen de las Nieves' 9th - 12th October: Beer Festival End of October: Moors and Christians Old town

Karen and Ian are two of the nicest people you could wish to meet,with a really fanstastic villa! Great accomadation,a lovely pool,and an excellent outdoor BBQ area.The whole experience made for a great holiday and we can't wait to go back!

Arrived back in the uk on Monday after spending our 9th and most relaxing holday yet in Calpe. The apartment was by far the best we have ever stayed in and had everything and more than we could have wished for it is very clean and extremely well equiped. The very generous and well thought out welcome pack was a joy as we did not have the need to rush straight out to the supermarket for anything until the next day. Having two teenage boys the added bonus of the pool table, sky tv and a dvd player was a hit. The Villa is situated in beautiful and peaceful surroundings with a good size and well maintained pool with a delightful garden and BBQ area yet it is only a 5 mins drive to the town and beaches. We have previously always stayed in frontline apartments but never again. Karen, Ian and Jazz were very friendly and helpful but at the same time discreet. We very much enjoyed our chats with them over a glass of wine or two! (purchased from a lovely little Bodega in the Jalon valley, well worth a visit). We will definantley be returning in 2010 and couldnt think of anywhere else we would rather stay than "Casa Karija"
Places of interset include Guadalest, Fonts D'algar, Aqualandia, Terra Mittica, Penon D' Ifach + much more and dont forget to visit Calpe old town it really is worth the short walk up the hill as it really is beautiful.

had a great holiday, did not want to come home. Such a relaxing holiday great apartment more like a villa pool is for you alone, owners very discreet but very friendly and helpful. Hoping to go back next year for 3 weeks, so I guess that says it all

Casa Karija was an amazing setting for our family holiday in July 08 and fantastic value for money. The villa is beautiful with all the facilities you could need including a 9m pool!! Karen and Ian were extremely friendly and helpful but also discreet, allowing us to treat the accommodation and pool as our own during our stay.
The outdoor cooking/eating area is a real bonus - we used the built in bbq to cook on most days in 35 degree heat, much nicer than being stuck in a kitchen indoors.
The property was extremely clean when we arrived and fans and mosquito lamps were provided for us.
The villa is in an urbanisation outside of Calpe itself so we hired a car but Ian was more than happy to offer us lifts if required and also gave us a tour of the local area including showing where the essential amenities were (beach, supermarket etc.). There is a German bar within walking distance and also a holiday complex with restaurant etc. (c. 20 mins walk).
We wouldn't hesitate to go back and look forward to catching up with Ian and Karen again in the future.
