Well appointed self-catering flat of 55 m2 for 2 (with extra fold-up bed or small child's cot) on the ground floor of a bourgeois village house standing in a mature garden with citrus trees, olive trees and Mediterranean plants. Terrace of 70 m2 with wooden garden furniture and wonderful uninterrupted views of the medieval village, surrounding mountains and the Gorges du Loup. Situated 100 m from the centre of the fortified hilltop village of le Bar sur Loup which stands at the entrance of the Gorges du Loup. Local facilities include two bakeries, two grocers, newsagents, chemist, post office, four restaurants, two caf?s etc. Le Bar is ideally situated 'off the beaten track', offering a peaceful/relaxing environment but close enough to make the most of the attractions of the coast. Le Bar sur Loup is a hilltop medieval village situated in the foothills of the Alps, at the entrance of the Gorges du Loup, but only 30 minutes from the Mediterrean coast and its beaches. A multitude of different attractions and places to visit ranging from Monaco, Nice and St. Tropez on the coast to inland sites such as the Gorges du Verdon, the Var vineyards, the pre-alpes, typical provençal villages and numerous châteaux, monasteries and other historical places of interest. Only 10 minutes from the renowned perfume capital of the world, Grasse with a number of perfume factories and museums. This region is a hiker's and climber's paradise. Direct access from the village to many walks, including via the 'Chemin de Paradis' to the perched village of Gourdon with its medieval château (classed as one of the most beautiful villages in France).

Notes: We provide books, indoor and outdoor games for toddlers. The 70 m2 terrace is an ideal enclosed environment for a young child to play. A paddling pool and sand pit can be provided and installed on the terrace. We have satellite television - the French, English, German, Italian, Spanish, Italian main channels plus a small supply of DVDs (including some for young children). The pool is an above ground pool, an old irrigation 'basin' and measures 5 m in diametre and is 1,20 metres deep.

La Roseraie

We had a most wonderful 10 days at La Roseraie in Le Bar sur Loup. The accommodation is newly furnished with everything you can think of supplied. The property was spotlessly clean. Tracey and Julian were so helpful, even giving us toys, books and a children's paddling pool for our little son.
The village is very special with ancient streets and alleyways winding through it. Some useful little shops, i.e. bakery, grocers, fruit & veg, butcher.
We wouldn't hestitate in recommending La Roseraie to couples or with a small child.

We just had amazing vacation in France. We stayed in this amazing place. The view is stunning and beatiful. We really recomend this place. It's very quit and old village, has it's own "face". Apartment has everything you need.

Our Fantastic Holiday in Bar-sur-Loup

We had a truly wonderful holiday in Bar-sur-Loup, Tracey and Julian have created a lovely studio apartment on the lower floor of their beautiful three storey house. The apartment is spacious, clean and comfortable with everything you need to make your stay as stress-free as possible. There is plenty of outside space on the terrace for sunbathing and alfresco dining with breathtaking views of the valley. Tracey and Julian are excellent hosts with plenty of advice on where to go and what to do. The village and the surrounding area are superb creating a relaxing atmosphere away from the hectic Riviera. Our highlights were the village of Gourdon, eating in the square of Valbonne, the old part of Antibes, the beaches of Juan les Pins and if you go to Monaco, go by train and enjoy the coastal views without the stress of driving, all for 10 Euros each return. We would definitely both return and recommend this magnificent place in Bar-sure-Loup.

Beautiful place

We have just returned from a lovely week here (despite some less than perfect weather!)

We found the apartment beautifully refurbished, tastefully decorated and very clean. Tracey and Julian are really welcoming and thoughtful hosts and had provided everything we needed, including baby equipment (bath, changing mat, chair etc) for our 5 month old daughter. The views from the terrace are stunning, a lovely place to have breakfast every morning!

The apartment is very well situated in a small but charming village and only a short drive to Grasse, Cannes, Nice etc. We enjoyed wandering around nearby villages including Gourdon, Valbonne and Mougins, and some gentle walks in the hills nearby.

We would thoroughly recommend La Rosarie and hope to return.

A Wonderful Holiday

We had a fantastic holiday here Sept'09. The apartment was excellent and had an amazing view of the mountains from the terrace where we had breakfast every morning.
The apartment was tastefully decorated and ideally situated in walking distance of the village where there are some shops and restaurants. We also found it excellent for visiting surrounding places such as Grasse, Nice and Cannes.
We felt we were staying in a lovely tranquil place but were not far from beaches and could travel to busier places too. So had the best of both worlds! Which is ideal for us!
Our hosts were a lovely couple, so willing to make suggestions on places to visit etc. We found them so approachable and friendly.
We are looking forward to seeing them again when we return next year!!!
