It was a last minute trip to the Glacier National Park. Oh boy weren't we lucky to find this wonderful cabin on vrbo. Cozy, clean and well kept cabin in midst of the woods just 5 minutes to the West Glacier entrance to the the Park. This is a huge plus when you plan to enjoy the Park to the fullest yet not worry about the time lost in driving to and fro to the Park. The Glacier National Park is amazing with the winding scenic drive along the Going-to-the Sun Road with the the different lookout points to enjoy the Glaciers, Lakes, Falls,Hikes, wildflowers, geology and the wildlife. We have rented cabins from vrbo previously but this cabin had a personal touch to it along with the comfort...you really felt at home away from home. After a long satisfying day at the Park it was wonderful to come home and put your feet up and relax on the porch with a book from their wonderful library collection. We very much appreciated the owner and family going out of their way to sharing a lot of tips on hiking from their own experiences when hearing that it was our first visit. The little tips on where to eat or where the nearest superstore is was very helpful. All in all it was an amazing experience at the Glacier. Hope to comeback soon. Thanks for sharing your wonderful cabin!

From the listing and photos of the cabin we were pretty sure we would be happy. However, it was even better than we expected. The location couldn't be more perfect: literally 5 minutes away from the park gate and so quiet that you thought you were 50 miles away from it. The cabin itself is wonderfully clean and the furnishings simple and very comfortable. The stocked kitchen and the barbeque area really made it hard not to eat in. After being out enjoying everything we could inside the park during the day the screened poarch was our favorite place to relax after dinner. The owner's library regarding Glacier is plentiful and we made good use of it. Being able to do our laundry was a plus. The train took a little getting used to but it would not keep me away. I'd recommend this cabin to friends, family and I really hope that the three of us can return. Thanks to the owners for sharing their great cabin.

The cabin was located in a nice spot about a mile from the west entrance of Glacier NP. It was clean, and it had everything we needed. Shawn is easy to work with. Our 4 days was perfect. We hope to come back.

We LOVED the location of this cabin, five minutes outside West Glacier entrance to GN park. Kudos to the owner's for suggesting a stop at Super 1 grocery in Columbia Falls to stock the fridge. Their notes and suggestions sent in advance were most helpful. Cabin was very spacious for three or four. The screened in porch sealed the deal for me and it was idilic. Temperatures were delightfully cool at night which kept the cabin cool during the day. Many supplies were furnished which was a pleasant surprise. A young buck wandered by as we sat at the dinner table the last night. WiFi and cell phone service were reliable. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this cabin.

My husband and I stayed at the cabin with our son and his wife, and our adult daughter. We enjoyed our stay very much. The cabin was comfortable and well equipped. The cabin was clean and will cared for. We enjoyed the BBQ and the patio area, as the mosquitoes were not bad when we were there. We drank coffee on the screen porch every morning and planned our days. We spent part of every day in Glacier Park. The hike we most enjoyed was to Avalanche Falls which was a beautiful hike about 6 miles round trip from the parking lot. (Challenging yet doable for my daughter in-law who is 7 mos. pregnant.) We also shopped, then rented a boat at Apgar Village and fished on the lake though we didn't catch anything. One day we roamed though antique shops looking for treasures in Columbia Falls. We enjoyed delicious Hukleberry margaritas at Lake McDonald and rested outdoors overlooking the beautiful lake. All in all is was a wonderful trip, we are thinking of making it a yearly event and would gladly return to the cabin.
