Notes:
Tahoe Meadows is a historical gated community which is very safe for walking, biking, children. For 8 weeks of the summer, a summer supervisor organizes daily activities such as baseball games, crafts, hikes, campfires. Our cabin is located close to one of the gates, giving easy access to restaurants, Stateline, Ski Run Blvd, while keeping the privacy of a small forest. Tahoe Meadows itself is 100 acres, with natural preserves and cabins ranging from the historic to the ultra-modern. The deck of the cabin overlooks a meadow, which is one of the natural preserves. We have owned the cabin for three generations, and have made sure that it is comfortable for us to stay in, with furnishings that any family would want. There is even an upright piano.

We had a great family vacation

This is an older but very nice cabin, very close to state line, but secluded in its own forest. Hard to believe your in walking distance to 3 private beaches in a gated and very secure residential community, yet right next to bustling South Lake Tahoe. We kayaked, biked, swam, fished, and just relaxed. Then went out to dinner and listened to great live music. I brought my fishing boat and had no problem with access or parking, no worries about security. The owner is wonderful to work with, we will have no reservations about staying here again. And the fishing was great!
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Tourists without a Car, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers

Quiet, safe, family activities galore!

Our family had an unbelievable experience at Tahoe Meadows... the whole area is a community of homes and cabins, secluded from the hustle and bustle of the City of South Lake Tahow. Our kids rode their bikes or walked to the beach 3-4 times a day to swim, play ping-pong, volleyball, and do arts and crafts with the summer supervisor. The family softball games were a hoot---but we especially liked the Saturday night campfires, with s'mores, skits and musical entertainment, and a movie for the kids afterwards. Thanks for letting us stay at the cabin ---it was so sunny and bright, and close enough to the street that we could slip out the gate to sushi or coffe.

Great place for our family

We had a great time. The Meadows is a really unique and special place. Recommend highly for families, nature lovers, campfire enjoyers, softball players, and people that like uncrowded beaches. The "cabin" is a house, really, with a large back deck and patio equipment for enjoying the morning sun and evening dinners. The owner is friendly and very efficient. We also liked being so close to Stateline (within walking distance), restaurants, music, etc.
