We really enjoyed our stay. It already looks like this is our new favorite place to stay. Thank you for helping us celebrate our 18th Anniversary. It was so relaxing for us both. We enjoyed looking at all the memorabila here.
We needed a break from everyday stresses and wanted an early Valentine's weekend. The cabin was perfect for this. It was so relaxing and I did not want to leave. Loved the chapel and grooms cabin. And we enjoyed fishing a little too. Wonderful weekend! It was just to short!
My husband and I needed a much deserved get away for a few days. Both of our parents are in poor health and we just needed a break. Dawn and Jake the owners are super friendly. There are just not enough words to say how relaxing and beautiful their cabin and the surroundings are. We just loved sitting on the porch, rocking in the chairs, and just looking out across the pond. Each morning we fed the fish and enjoyed all the wildlife. We just loved all the farm animals and especially fell in love with Lu Lu. It was awesome having fresh eggs for breakfast. Thank you Dawn and Jake for sharing your little piece of heaven with us. We will be back.
This place is beautiful.I twas perfect for relaxing & regrouping. Dawn the owner was wonderful and added special touches for my birthday. I will be back to this beautiful, special place.
Thank you for sharing your beautiful cabin on the Farm with us. We thoroughly enjoyed our 20th anniversary weekend and the welcoming chocolates, rose petals, card and welcome sign were a surprise. We really enjoyed getting to visiting Main Street in Youngsville and also doing some shopping at all the yard sales and thrift stores we found. Your home is close enough for a trip to Raleigh but far enough away from the big city to enjoy the quietness and beauty of the country. We had planned to eat out while we were there, but so enjoyed the comfort and peacefulness of the cabin that we cooked at “home” each night!
We loved being greeted by your flock of sheep baaing in the pasture each morning and Maggie Lou and Lulu were so much fun to get to know. Lulu certainly loves the bread! And Maggie Lou takes care of those sheep as her own. We also loved meeting your four-legged child Sadie Mae, and Hootie the goat (So sorry that Hootie is no longer with you, we know how much you loved him).
The chapel is so beautiful and I enjoyed spending a few minutes on Palm Sunday morning before we left having a few quiet moments there. Only one complaint about the whole weekend – it was Too Short!
We have told many people about your great farm and get away – and we will certainly be back for another visit. Thank you again for sharing your home with us.
My husband and I have 3 young children and 2 businesses, and just wanted to get away from it all for a weekend. We enjoyed ourselves soooo much. The cabin is secluded and private. The lake is gorgeous and so very peaceful. The owner even leaves bread to feed the animals. If I had to make a suggestion it would be to cover the skylight or move the bed. The morning sun makes it impossible to sleep in. However the large sectional sofa was plenty big for naps and relaxing. The supplies most everything you will need and didn't even realize you would need. This is a charming, relaxing retreat owned by an amazingly nice couple. Definitely recommend!
My wife and I stayed for two nights and plan to come back to stay longer. It was so nice to be able to feel the solitude and harmony with nature, something that is totally lacking in our high tech world. Being there brought back childhood memories of visiting my uncle's farm. Sitting on the back porch and looking at the water felt like heaven. To be honest, I'm so glad there was not a wireless router or else I'd feel compelled to check up on things at work with my laptop, something we were trying our best to avoid for a couple of days anyway! We could have sat there for hours had the weather been warmer. The chapel was beautiful. We definitely plan to come back in the Spring! I cannot think of any other place that my wife and I have stayed at where the solitude and peace was any better than this place. The owner did an incredible job making the place feel cozy, with farm fresh eggs, comfortable bed under a sky light window, bath robs next to the 2-person shower stall, and even bread to feed the fish in the back lake.
