Our Go-to place for Mountain time

  • 5 of 5
We have been to this cabin two times before, and the views and peaceful ambiance keep us coming back. We stayed for our Honeymoon, and then for post Thanksgiving respite. This cabin is the perfect place for adventure seeking and for curling up by the fire place with a book, and for seeing some of the most beautiful sunrises in Alabama. We especially enjoy going hiking and swimming when we stay. I highly recommend this lovely cabin.

Days of Rest and Relaxation

  • 5 of 5
We booked this trip for our 1yr anniversary seeking relaxation during an extended weekend. This place met that plus more. The views are spectacular including sunrise on the porch (Highly recommended). The cabin is cozy, comfortable and very spacious with beautiful interior and exterior décor. We brought our two Labrador retriever's with us and they enjoyed the large fenced in area with plenty of room to play. The Owners of the cabin were accessible while going above and beyond navigating us through out Little River Canyon making certain that we visited areas to enjoy some breath taking views and attractions. The cabins location is very well rounded in suiting the needs of multiple hobbies varying in different people. We did not want to leave and are looking forward to our next visit. Thank You so much!

Owner's Response: Thanks for the nice review! We're glad you two enjoyed your romantic getaway, and the labs were able to romp around the yard. We hope, as your family grows, you will enjoy coming back to our cabin in the forest.

Anniversary Getaway

Greg and Gina,
We had an amazing time during our stay in Ft. Payne. The house is absolutely gorgeous and love the way you have it decorated. The views and property are stunning. Enjoyed our coffee on the porch in the mornings and sitting by the fire under the stars at night. You feel right at home and it was very relaxing. We hope to do this again and bring the rest of the family as there is plenty of room! Thanks again for opening your home to us – we hope to see y’all soon!

Slice of heaven!

  • 5 of 5
My husband and I spent nearly a week at this amazing cabin for our 10-year anniversary. We can't say enough about this home, this region and the kind locals who live and work around the area. The cabin itself is beautiful and well designed and decorated. The paintings are truly lovely and I found myself getting lost in them. The location this cabin is perched upon is breathtaking. We spent hours on the deck in the rocking chairs admiring the valley during the day with a book and a coffee, and a starry night accompanied by the symphony of the forest with a glass of wine. The owners shared their favorite swimming and waterfall spots with us as well as places to dine. We fell in love with each one. The canyon is just ripe with adventure and beauty. My husband personally loved driving the Lookout scenic route as well as Martha's Fall cliff jumping. The home is not only beautiful but also comfortable and cozy and incredibly clean. We are from the deep South and love to cook and found the kitchen wonderfully equipped. This cabin met and exceeded all of our needs and desires. We can't wait to go back with family and see the valley in the Fall. I can only imagine the beauty of the changing of the leaves.

Thank you so much to the owners for such an incredible vacation spot and wonderful amenities and personal advice of the area.

Family Gathering in the Mountains

  • 5 of 5
We had a great time at our family birthday party at this lovely Mountain home, very comfortable for the 6 of us and our two dogs. The house was fantastic and very spacious. It allowed us to enjoy our time with family but also enjoyed the sitting room upstairs for some quite alone reading time.

The photos represented the location well. Having the fenced yard and enclosed deck made it easy to bring our two dogs with us. The property was clean as very well maintained.

The views from the deck of the mountain valley was awesome. We took a nice drive to the falls along Little River Canyon.

Some reviews mentioned the dirt and gravel road was difficult on cars. It rained while we were there and our car was adequate for the dirt and gavel road.

We would definitely come to the house again.

Owner's Response: Thanks Larry for choosing our home for your family celebration! We appreciate how well you took care of our house, and agree that the fenced in area gives the dogs a large area in which to play. The road is a bit bumpy, but no worse than any other country gravel road. We look forward to seeing you there again! Greg and Gina

Charming! Relaxing! Great Views!

  • 5 of 5
This is our second trip to this lovely vacation home. It was beautiful when we came before but even more so since it has been redecorated. It has such charm. It was perfect for our sister trip. The new furnishing are so nice! Gina's artwork throughout the house is totally awesome. We had a fantastic time! The view is incredible! We loved the front porch and the new plantings. Each room is so well decorated with such detail. Every room has its own lovely decor. We love the antiques throughout the house. We enjoyed the deck with the cozy covered sitting area. The kitchen is so well equipped. We definitely plan to return next year!
