This delightful villa is in a small select holiday village known as Ampelohori

Villa Prodromos is a single storey villa, offering high standard self-catering accommodation. Ampelohori is in an enviable tranquil location set on a hillside well back from the Beach Road close to Pissouri Bay. The villa has two bedrooms (one double and one twin), and will sleep up to 5 people with the use of a Z-bed. This spacious ground floor villa consists of an open plan dining and lounge area with Cypriot style pine furnishings. Fully equipped kitchen. Externally, the verandah leads to a secluded garden with sun loungers, ample garden furniture. Ampelohori has a large shared swimming pool and separate children's pool in landscaped gardens, complete with pool bar and taverna. It is an ideal retreat for those who dislike large resorts and wish to get away from it all. Pissouri Bay (15 minutes' walk away) has an excellent beach. Safe for children. Car parking. No smoking.

Location: Pissouri, 4 km away from the villa, is a quaint Greek-Cypriot village situated in the principal vine growing area of Cyprus. Overlooking the coast, the village is situated off the main Paphos to Limassol road on the south side of a hill, approximately 1000 ft above sea level.

It is one of the most attractive and charismatic villages on Cyprus.

Ampelohori is a small self-contained select holiday village offering peace and tranquillity, the ideal spot to totally wind down from the pressures of modern day living. It has stunning views of the surrounding countryside, an uncrowded local beach and friendly, laid-back local folk. The seawater is clear, clean and safe (EU Blue Flag Award). There are two 18 hole golf courses within a 25 minute drive, at Secret Valley and Tasada.

The Troodos Mountains, which rise 1000m above the sea, are about an hour away and you will be able to go on wonderful walks through the mountain scenery. Here you can also explore the Kykkos Monastery and the museum.

Places to visit include Kourium, an ancient Roman city with amphitheater (circa 1200 BC) and Aphrodite's Rock, the fabled birthplace of Aphrodite, Goddess of Love.

Paphos, 45 minutes away, has historical archaeological sites and an attractive fishing port/harbour.

You can also take a one day package tour to Cairo from Paphos Airport.

Notes

  • The above rates are for Villa Prodhromos and they are for up to four people. Use of the Z-bed for an extra person will incur a £50 weekly charge.

    Any booking can be paid in Euros. as follows: July/August - €610 pw plus other months between April and October - €550 pw.

    Possibility of a special rate/discount for two people only(not July/August).

    A 25% non-refundable deposit is required to secure your booking with the balance payable 6 weeks before arrival. Arrival time is 16.00 hours and departure time is 10.00 hours.

    Discounts are available for bookings of two or more weeks.

Notes: The Villa is on the ground floor with enclosed garden and not an apartment in a block. Pissouri is located between the two towns of Limassol and Paphos. Pissouri is a village with a wonderful Cypriot character and tradition.. The ´traffic free´main square offers entertainment of live music and Cypriot dancing on Wednesdays.

Spacious home for 4 people. Pissouri bay pleasant without noise and traffic. Excellent location. Quiet rooms despite the air conditioning. Large refrigerator. Owner very nice.

Lovely bungalow in quiet residential estate

We stayed here because it seemed like a quiet location that was central to much of the island, and being a bungalow it was child friendly. It lived up to all those things, and had a lovely pool and restaurant in the estate too. This was our first visit to the island.
