Brancacci apartment is located in the historic center of Florence, in the Oltrarno area, from which all galleries, museums and the main railway station can easily be reached in 5-10 minutes walk.
The district is very trendy, with nice antique shops, artisans, restaurants. The apartment, in a beautiful 17th century palace, is very cozy and young: the 3 rooms are located on 3 levels and are connected by a spiral stair case. The bedroom, in the attic, has a double bed (or 2 single beds on request), the sitting room has a large pull out sofa that can be easily transformed into a double bed, then there is the beautiful kitchen with a large table and the arched ceiling, and the bathroom with a large shower.
I welcome my guests with fresh fruit and flowers, cookies and wine. In the kitchen you will also find extra virgin olive oil, vinegars, sugar, salt, coffee, teas, spices.
I like suggesting my clients what to do and what to see in Florence and give them any help.

........we have nothing but fond memories of our stay there.........we found the location ideal to explore nearby attraction by foot....the house was tastefully decorated and we always took a moment to marvel its unique architecture...........Rita is by far the most gracious host I have ever met while traveling and what really struck me was her warmth and willingness to plan our stay in Florence.

...we were looking for a place we could call home, come and go from, that was within walking distance to everything. Rita the owner was wonderful
and very helpful. I recommend this apt for anyone looking for a reasonably priced......it is only ten minutes from the Termini for those who want to venture by train the other areas of interest in Italy.

The interior decor puts one in mind of the Tuscan countryside and the owner puts one in mind of the elegance of the fabled cradle of the renaissance. The location is superb for those like myself who want to be near to historic center without having to deal with the throngs of tourists....

...........the kitchen is where we spent most of our time, I set my laptop at the table and had great internet, we cooked several mea.ls and we felt 'very Italian'. Rita was very friendly, it was like we were renting from a friend. The apartment was very clean and well equipped with blankets, pillows and all the kitchen utensils..our next trip will be based on the availability of this apartment, we wouldn't stay anywhere else in Florence.

...........the location is just excellent, in a charming historic square steps from an important church/fresco...........the price was a real bargain, particularly for the location. An excellent choice for the budged conscious traveler- Rita was very helpful and cheerful...........
We had a Wonderful stay at Rita's place for 5 days this August. We have nothing but fond memories of our stay there. If you want to explore Florence and live its medieval splendour, look no further than the Brancacci! Given that we were travelling with a 6 month old baby, we found the location ideal to explore nearby attractions by foot. The house was tastefully decorated and we always took a moment to marvel its unique architecture! Rita is by far the most gracious host I have ever met while travelling and what really struck me was her warmth and willingness to help and plan our stay in florence. We would definitely return again.
Rita literally opened our cab door for us after our long flight over! The apartment is away from the tourists and in the middle of the locals. We could walk to all the restaurants at nite and there was a little coffee shop on corner where we got coffee every morning. The bus stop is under a minute walk. My mom and I had never used Home Away before and we were very happy we did! Rita was awesome and answered all our questions and even came over when we were having some cell phone issues. It was the perfect place to spend our first time in Italy!!
What a welcome we received when we arrived in Florence at Rita's apartment! She not only greeted us at the door with a big smile like an old friend but also had a large welcome basket waiting for us on the kitchen table with: bottle of wine, gluten free cookies, GF pasta, homemade marmalade, vegetables from her own garden in season, and other GF goodies :)
We had a wonderful stay at Rita's apartment for 1 month Aug 16 to Sept 15.
She provide us with regular tips on what to visit and any available concerts, beaches to go to etc. This totally helped our holiday be so enjoyable.
We loved the location near historic sites, grocery stores, bakeries, laundromats, within walking distance to the train station and all major historic sites.
We had a wonderful stay, thank you Rita for everything!
We stayed for 3 nights in Rita’s wonderful 3 level apartment in Florence. Rita is a very hospitable hostess. She welcomed our arrival at the apartment. We were greeted by a bottle of local wine, a jar of marmalade that she made herself and other goodies. She provided very useful tips on local restaurants, places of interest etc.
The apartment is very conveniently located, about 10-15 mins walk from Santa Maria Novella Train Station. the Duomo, the Uffizi, Ponte Vecchio, and about 20 mins walk from the Academia. A grocery store and a laundromat is just around the corner. It has ample rooms for a family of 4. There is wifi available in the apartment, which is very useful for making reservations, or looking for information in general.
Most of all, we had the most memorable time in Florence. We look forward to coming back again. When we do, we will seek out Rita’s place.

Four of us (my husband, our two boys and I) stayed in Rita’s place 5 days in May. We really enjoyed this apartment- charming and cosy. Location was perfect for us. We were able to walk everywhere.
The place had everything we needed. We used kitchen every morning and almost every night. Rita’s welcome kit with pasta, sauce and wine came very handy.
There is a coin laundry just around the corner, which was very handy on our lengthy trip.
We also enjoyed Trattoria del Carmine, which is just few steps from the apartment.
Rita was very welcoming and provided a lot of useful tips. We especially enjoyed Stibbert Museum that Rita recommended.
We would definitely recommend this place.
We had a great stay here in this cozy apartment. Everything we wanted to see was within reasonable walking distance from here. No need for public transportation at all! Only about a ten minute walk from the SMN train station. The apartment was well equipped with everything we could possibly have needed.
Rita was a wonderful host. She greeted us at the apartment with keys and gifts of wine, cookies, homemade marmalade and chocolate to get us settled in. She gave us terrific hints on what to see while we were in Florence. She kept in regular touch through email to make certain we had all we needed and to suggest activities and areas of interest. We even saw the Scoppio del Carro at Easter! We had a great stay, thanks Rita!
This apartment is located on the left side of the Arno river, called Oltrarno by the Florentines. It is a trendy residential area with antique shops, artisans, coffee bars, pubs, delicatessens.
The Brancacci chapel is next to the apartment, and all most important Florentine treasures such as Palazzo Pitti, Ponte Vecchio, Palazzo Vecchio, Duomo, Galleria degli Uffizi etc etc are within ten minutes walk.
In summer you can also sun bath on the Arno river which is also very close to the apartment.
Besids Galleries and Museums there is a place to go, which again is near the apartment, and is the large Cascine Park, where every Tuesday morning a very big market is held and where you can find everything , from flowers, to vegetables, any type of food, giftwear, clothing, accessories: it is a nice long walk with the river on one side and the big trees of the park on the other side. You would enjoy it.
You would also love spending some evenings in the Piazza Santo Spirito, ten minutes from the apartment, where you can sit outside the nice restaurants and pubs and enjoy the beautiful square in a nice atmosphere.
Also a 'rent a bike' is available 5 minutes from the apartment.
I could go on providing you other interesting insight into any must-see-places and must-do activities, but I prefer to leave up to you to discover the many interesting places in the area.
In the apartment you will also find a booklet that I wrote with my suggestions about what to do and what to see in Florence: it is really useful because in there I point out places that are less known than the very famous ones, but that in my opinion you should not miss. One of my guests told me he considered my little booklet as his 'bible' while visiting Florence.
Also guide books are available in the apartment.
