Luxury, fully furnished apartment in a quiet location in the town of Ovacik, just 2 miles from Olu Deniz, one of Turkeys finest beaches, and within walking distance of Hisaronu, with all its shops and restaurants. The apartment is over 2 floors and consists of one double bedroom, one twin bedroom and three separate sofa beds in the living room. There is a family bathroom with bath and shower, WC and wash basin upstairs and a separate WC and wash basin downstairs. There is a fully fitted kitchen with everything you need for a self catering holiday, including washing machine, oven with 4-ring hob, kettle, toaster, all cook wear, cutlery etc. All rooms are individually air conditioned. All linen and towels provided, and apartment cleaned once a week. There is a huge communal swimming pool (295 m2) with a smaller childrens pool as well, with a pool bar serving drinks and snacks.

Hisaronu and Ovacik lie close by in the hills behind Olu Deniz, surrounded by pine forests and beautiful countryside. These resorts have grown from the popularity of Olu Deniz itself, as when the conservation area made it impossible to build more hotels and apartments by the sea, the hillside villages within easy reach of the beach started to grow. Both resorts are now incredibly popular with British guests with many holidaymakers deciding to settle in the area and there is a wide selection of restaurants, bars and pubs to cater for their tastes. Hisaronu is the busier of the two villages and most restaurants, shops and bars are centred around one main street, whilst at the top of the village is a weekly market where it can be great fun choosing unusual gifts for those back home. Ovacik is altogether quieter and more rural with splendid views of the surrounding pine clad mountains. The air here is usually cooler and fresher than at sea level, which can be very welcome at times !

Key supplied did not fit & at 4am not happy especially with 2 young children who needed their beds we finally obtained a key that fitted 1 hour later thanks to a security man. Apartment OK but basic some kitchen cupboards need repairing, No satellite or cable TV as advertised. There are better equipped apartments on the complex if that is what you want. We had to ask the Bar manager for clean towels and bedding and for the apartment to be cleaned as it seemed that these basic arrangements had not been organised by the owner, but do not let these issues put you off from holidaying at the Pinara complex as in my opinion it is excellent, if you want more luxury then choose another apartment to rent there are plenty. Also book a transfer with the complex bar manager as he seemed to be the cheapest. The complex is located at the top of a steep hill so a taxi is advisable if visiting Hisaronu especially on return.

We had a lovely holiday and thought that the apartment and the pool complex were of a very high standard. It was great to have such a big pool, and we really enjoyed the cooler breezes at that height, which made it much more comfortable than being on the beach.

We have just reurned from a 2 week hol at this property. Firstly the owner sent the wrong key, lucky for us we arrived when the pool bar was open and the couple who run it are very helpful and gave us a spare key. The apartment is in need of repair, one of the curtain rails in the lounge has broken so no curtains - a problem if using the sofa beds in the lounge area, several kitchen cupboard doors are off and there are only 2 sunbeds not 4 and one of these is broken. There is no CD player in the property and although there is a large TV there is no signal for any channels so can only be used to watch DVD's.The cleaners came in after the first week and removed the dirty towels - but left no clean ones. Unfortunately the owner does not answer telephone calls or e-mails when a problem occurs.
I would definely recommend the pinara apartment complex, the pool is large and well maintained, the pool bar is run by a very helpful couple and the snacks served there are very good.

Our holiday in August 2008

We had a great two week holiday in this property at Olu Deniz, and loved the apartment complex, the pool and gardens which were very well maintained and home to a couple of friendly tortoises! The main pool was a good size for serious swimming, and the small pool was also just right for toddlers and young children. We found the apartment fairly comfortable, but rather sparse. It could have done with some more kitchen equipment, and an info folder for guests. We didn't like the immediate village of Hisaronu as we found it very touristy and tacky (not to mention incredibly expensive), but it is very easy to get off the beaten track in Turkey.
