We were pleasantly surprised when we arrive at the Toucan's property. Overall it Toucan's was nicer than we expected from the pictures. Very comfortable furnishings, great privacy, and everything we needed to enjoy a perfect vacation in Jaco. The housekeeping staff does a great job and the place was clean and tidy. The beach was only a few steps from the entrance to the property which we loved.

Downtown Jaco was just a 3 block walk and everything was close by. Make sure you try the Empandas and pastries from the bakery on Main St, called Pachi's Pan. There is also a great authentic Costa Rican restaurant 1 block from Toucan's calle Marea Alta open 24hrs. They have a dish called the Corvina Maria Alta that is amazing and cheap! They also have great ceviche'. There is a little fish market next door to Marea Alta that also sells delicious ceviche'.

The folks at Jaco VIP took really good care of us from beginning to end. We rented the house through them and had them arrange all of our canopy tour, ATV tour,airport transportation, and a very successful fishing trip.(4 Sailfish, 2 Yellowfin Tuna, and a huge Mahi Mahi) . We also arranged a private chef through them for 3 of our 5 days and he did an impressive job with the meals he prepared for us. Our group unanimously determined this was once of the best vacations we have ever experienced. You just can't go wrong staying at Toucan's and letting Jaco VIP take care for everything for you.
