Great Stay in Woodland Park

I thought our stay here was good. The owner was easy to work with, always responded promptly. The house is beautiful, with great views of Pikes Peak, easy to find, close to Woodland Park. I would stay here again. Beds were comfy and plenty of room. We were out and about most of the time, but it would be a great place to just sit back and relax also. That being said, there were a few things that could be improved. 1. We did capture the mouse that someone else said they saw, no big deal. 2. There could be more of just about everything, more towels, more wash clothes, more plates, more mugs, etc. We ended up buying paper plates to make things easy. There aren't any oven mitts, just little things like that, that would make your stay a little nicer. 3. The water pressure is a concern, and you definitely need to take turns with baths, washing your hands, flushing the toilet. 4. The driveway to the house is a challenge with a minivan...we made it, but it is challenging. SUV is no problem. 5. The dryer doesn't work too well.
The positives do truly outweigh the negatives, and we would stay here again.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your review. I was a little surprised by your description of not enough dishes, towel, etc. But I have just recently been back to the property for the first time since your stay and it did seam that some items had "disappeared" during the summer. I also found several pot in the downstairs hallway closet. Not sure why they were in there. I restocked the house with dishes, pots, pans, and towels to make sure future visitor will not have the same problem. I do apologize for the inconvenience this may have caused during your stay.
I also had exterminators come out and also set out more traps, hopefully that issue will be taken care of as well. I was informed by locals that the wildfires last summer resulted in mice and other "wildlife" to be pushed towards our area, looking for refuge and/or a new home, which makes sense.
I hope you keep us in mind for your future travels. Thank You.
Sincerely,
Bianka Roch
