Southampton Gem - Stay Here and You Will Want to Come Back!!
We only stayed for a week but there was no doubt when we left we'd be coming back! The listing description is 100% accurate. What you see in the photos is what you get...... and then some. We found the home to be very clean, comfortable and beyond spacious. This place does not have a rental feel or look to it but rather like staying in a good friends home. If you like to cook this is your house. Wake up, brew yourself some coffee and sit out on the large screened in back porch......read a book, watch the birds or keep an eye on the kids as they swim. If cooking is not your thing while on vacation then head off to the Clamman (right in town) for amazing take-out seafood; bring your food back to eat in the 14 seat dining room. If you should need anything the owners are more than accommodating and happy to help. But most likely you WON"T NEED ANYTHING. The proximity to town is perfect. Easily accessible by walking or biking but you may want to drive as you'll need a place to put all your shopping bags! There are so many fun shops and great restaurants; many of which you can dine outdoors. For a good ol' fashioned Diner breakfast head to Sip n Soda. We'd also recommend Golden Pear, Tate's Bakery, Blue Duck Bakery and Silver's. For a five star dinner go to Red Bar (a must do while in Southampton). Don't miss going to Topiare while downtown. The plants and flowers there are exceptional. They even offer coffee, tea and baked goods. All of these places are right in town, so close to the home. There are so many things to do and see in the surrounding areas as well: visit Sag Harbour, Montauk Lighthouse or go Clamming (just a few of the things we did). If you like to wine taste don't miss Wolffer Estates and Palmer Winery. At Palmer ask for Miguel the wine maker and he'll make sure you get an extra pour! After a big day out you will welcome coming back to this lovely home. Curl up in the big chairs in the living room and plan for the next day. WE LOVED IT........ truly a gem!
