The breathtaking Alhambra Palace in Granada, the awe inspiring Cathedral in Seville, home to the tomb of Cristopher Columbus, the royal palace and Mequita in Cordoba, Ronda with its magnificent gorge and beautiful mansions, its all there to be visited and each of these famous towns are between 1 - 1:45 hrs drive away from the Hacienda Antequera our nearest town, 16klm away . Dates back to Romane times. It is fully of historic buildings , including a Morrish castle. The newly build Santa Ana train station is home to the Ave . the fast train , which will have you in the centre of Madrid in just 21/2 hours
Nature lovers Andalucia : El Torcal Natural Park on our own doorstep - 200,000,0000 years ago this was a seabed, the limestone rock formations are extraordinary , the beautiful valleys within the park are home to more than 30 varieties of wild orchids, mountain goats and many birds or prey, who float around the theramals created by the craggy rock formations. Hike around the area, we have many dedicate walks along old goatherders tracks Visit Fuente de Piedra . home to more than 5000 pink flamingos El Chorro Lakes - our own inland lakes , these turquoise oasis's, are the perfect day trip to swim, fish and hike through the pine forests surrounding the lakes
