Fully refurbished one bedroom apartment (52 sqm ) by a well known Parisian architect . We are on the 11th floor with elevator in an incredibly bright and quiet apartment with air condition . The bedroom and the living room open an a large balcony where you can take your breakfast looking at the Eiffel Tower the Arc de Triomphe, Notre Dame, the Invalides and the Grand Palais. On the other side of the flat there is a large terrace 20sqm where you can have a drink or dinner looking at Montmartre and the Sacré Coeur at sun set.
The apartment features a large living room, a bedroom, a bathroom and a fully-equipped kitchen as well as separate toilets. During the day you can open the folding door which does separate the sleeping room from the living/dining room to enjoy an exceptionally large open space. We paid attention to the quality of the furniture in particular to the mattresses and the sofa choosing the quality used by Paris luxury hotels.
You will be experiencing a true Parisian life rather than stay in an impersonal hotel room. Our apartment is also more spacious and luxurious than a hotel room at an equivalent price.
There is also cable TV with international channels, high-speed Internet connection with WIFI and a telephone (call US and canada for free both fixed and mobile australia fixe only).
Located near the famous Parc Monceau paradise for jogger, the Subway is just 100 yards away .You are 3 stations away from les grands magasins (Galeries Lafayette and Printemps) and 3 stations from arc de Triomphe champs Elysée .
Just around the corner you have the open market rue Levis where you will buy everything you need famous wine shop ,cheese shop and a lot more. You will feel like a Parisian .
For you comfort:
We are at your disposal to arrange additional service such as baby-sitting or taxi. Some services will be charged, please check prices with the owner.
The apartment is cleaned thoroughly prior to your arrival. For longer stays, a cleaning service (cleaning, change of linen and towels) is provided once a week, starting the first day of the new week.
Mr and Mrs Schuhl could not have been more wonderful and gracious hosts. They lived close by, their daugher lives in the same building and I believe Mrs. Schuhl's grandmother even grew up in the adjacent building. It was very close to the metro and had wonderous views out both sides of the flat. The pictures are an accurate representation of the property. Our children are 10 and 12 and thoroughly loved the accommodations and the area. We would walk to the market each morning which is only a couple of short blocks away and everyone readily welcomed us. Without questions we would stay there again on any future trip to Paris.
The highlight of this apartment is the view, which is simply stunning. Gaze out over miles of Paris rooftops, including the Eiffel Tower and Arc de Triomphe, through the large windows of the dining area and bed. To the rear behind the kitchen is a balcony with equally amazing view the other direction toward Montmarte and Sacre Cour. It is high enough up that it feels private to leave the blinds up even when sleeping, and we enjoyed a differently amazing sunset each night we were here.
The location is equally excellent, with a busy shopping street and supermarket just a couple of minutes walk away. If you enjoy walking further, it is just ~40 minutes on foot to the Seine and all its attractions in one direction, or to Montmartre in the other. If you're not a walker, the Metro station is close by. There is also a park just a couple of blocks away, great for an early morning run to work off those croissants!
What a wonderful penthouse apartment in Paris. It is exactly as shown in the pictures, only the views are even better. Off the front deck you can see the Arch de Triumph, Grand Palace and the Eiffel Tower and off the back deck you can see the Sacre Coeur.
On top of that, Bernard and Liliane and Olivia, their daughter, could not have been nicer or more helpful. We stayed 3 weeks and enjoyed every minute of it.
As for the particulars:
The king size bed is very comfortable (really two twins pushed together) with great feather pillows. There are lots of windows/doors that open creating a magnificent cross breeze and just great fresh air, which is also on our “must have” list when booking VRBO’s.
Another must for us is quiet and this apartment is amazingly quiet especially when you consider it is right in Paris in the 17th Arrondissement immediately adjacent to the 8th in a great village-like community.
The kitchen is small, but very functional with absolutely everything one could need including a Nespresso coffee maker of which we made very good use. The combined washer / dryer came in handy as did the wifi and printer —— very useful for printing walking and metro directions, etc.
The bathroom is very neat, clean and totally functional. The shower was perfect — great water pressure, relatively large, and without a curtain which is important to us. The only toilet is in a small separate room immediately adjacent to the sink/shower room.
There is a small elevator to take you up to this modern, newly renovated, bright, light 11th floor apartment to enjoy the amazing views. This apartment is very well located and overall a great place to call home no matter how long your stay.
We will definitely return.
The pictures of this apartment don't do it justice. My Fiance and I stayed for several nights and were greeted by the delightful Mother and daughter owners! They were extremely nice and welcoming. The view is absolutely breathtaking and once again, the pictures online do not do it justice. The area was perfect for going to the market, great restaurants and the subway. I would recommend this apartment to anyone and everyone looking for a great place to stay in Paris.
First of all, I would like to mention that this is the second time that we have stayed in our fabulous penthouse studio which has a fantastic view of Paris from all angles.
We have been to Paris over 40 times and know that this is the best of all places to stay...fabulous, safe neighborhood, wonderful markets, great local restaurants, close to the bus and metro...and Bernard and Liliane, make us feel like family!
Can't wait to return next year! A bientot, Jackie and Patrick Donnelly
The apartment was immaculate. It is spacious and well arranged. There are great restaurants and shops all around the block and transportation nearby. The view was just breathtaking. Watching the Eiffel Tower light up at night was truly majestic, all while you are comfortably sitting in the balcony of this beautiful apartment. Wish we could have stayed a bit longer!
