This sweet, comfortable cottage, on a quiet country road offers a complete respite from your busy life.

The cottage is located about 20 minutes from historic Hudson and 30 minutes from Great Barrington, Mass in the Berkshires

If you are looking for a location that is a truly peaceful, this may be your place. The porch looks out to views of the Catskills and the sunsets can be spectacular.. You will fall asleep to the sound of peepers(small frogs) and an occasional Canada goose call. It is quiet, peaceful and truly relaxing.

Whether you want to sit on the porch and read a good book or take long walks to unwind from your busy lives, you can't go wrong. Excellent eating establishments are close by.

There is wifi internet access, free long distance telephone and satellite TV.

The cabin is off the beaten path but not far from easy access to points south (NYC), north (Albany) and east(Boston).

It is 2 miles from the Taconic State Parkway Hillsdale exit.

In the Berkshires of Columbia County, NY, this location is a short 12 mile drive west to Hudson, NY, and the Hudson River, and 12 miles east to the Berkshires of Western MA including Great Barrington, Stockbridge and Lenox. But the best part of this location is it's privacy and bucolic setting amongst working farms, grazing alpacas, amazing views of the Catskill Mountains. The cabin is on a quiet, country road published as one of the best walking trails in Columbia County.

Wonderful Getaway!

This is a wonderful small house for any couple looking to get "away from it all", yet an easy drive to Great Barrington or Hudson. It is extremely modern and comfortable, with great views and a quiet rural setting.

Rene is a helpful and considerate contact who is a pleasure to work with. This is a very special spot, and its location close to the Taconic Parkway and Route 23 puts guests within range of the best of Columbia, Berkshire and Dutchess Counties.

My wife and I truly enjoy visiting this area, and would highly recommend this cozy home as an excellent base for exploring the region.

Great Getaway

My wife, 3 kids and I had a great stay at this charming cottage. It has been completely remodeled and is much more attractive than the pictures suggest. Rene should put up some photos from spring and summer. A less scrupulous homeowner would call this a 3 bed room. We certainly used the large room with the laundry machines as a bed room, and it has the best views of any bedroom in the house. The house is a short ride from the Taconic but sits on a 200 acre family farm, so it's very secluded. I took my toddlers and baby on walks on the dirt road in front of the house and saw no traffic for long stretches. We took a short trip to Great Barrington and caught a kids concert and had a great meal. I would happily go back to this cute spot.

Every time I go up to the cottage now I can imagine your little daughter sitting on the small bench in front of the bookcase. You and your wife were busy with the other little ones and she looked so content just sitting there on the bench that my grandmother had needle pointed. My grandmother loved children and it would have pleased her so...it still makes me smile to think of it.
Thanks for leaving the cottage in such great shape. With three kids I am sure the departure was a bit hectic so I really appreciate it.

Perfect Getaway Location - Will visit again!

Traveled to Hillsdale with two friends for a long weekend getaway and couldn't of been happier with our stay. The kitchen is spacious and supplied with pots, pans, spices etc. The porch has chairs and coffee tables so you can unwind and take in some fresh air. The bedrooms are large and each room in the house has a ceiling fan, the bathroom is beautifully tiled....overall the house is "friendly and inviting" and kept in immaculate condition. The house had books, games, a dvr, linens, towels and the use of a dishwasher, washer and dryer. You can get to Catamount in ten minutes or Great Barrington in twenty. There is so much to do in the area especially if you like antique shopping, pottery, books, hiking, ziplining, enjoying the outdoors, and finding great places to eat. Just pack your clothes and visit!
