About Steve

We live in a fun but busy urban environment. We need the solitude of nature in the North Georgia mountains to recharge our souls from time to time. Hiking, tubing on the 'Hooch', biking, and relaxing are among our favorite mountain activities. As our guests, we hope that you, too, will enjoy all the benefits of our treasured mountain home!

We would like to extend a very warm 'welcome' to all of our guests! We enjoy sharing the privacy and solitude of our mountain home with our friends and family. It's a great place to entertain or to relax!

Steve purchased this chalet in 1994
Why Steve chose Helen

Our home site was chosen because of its peaceful wooded setting and its close proximity to the Alpine village of Helen. It offers the best of both worlds: the serenity of a private mountain home on 10+ acres of land and the nearby activities, shops, and restaurants in Helen. You can retreat from the world or you can go into Helen and enjoy all the festivities...it's your choice!

What makes this chalet unique

From curling up by the fireplace to relaxing in the Hot Tub, it's a wonderful place to retreat from the daily hustle and bustle of work and life. We enjoy the spaciousness of the home, especially while relaxing in the Great Room or in the sitting area of the upstairs Loft overlooking the Great Room below.

Another favorite: sitting and drinking coffee on the covered balcony of the Master Bedroom Suite upstairs...so private and peaceful!

The two skylights over the king sized bed in the Master Bedroom Suite offer a nice view of the stars in the mountain skies, especially on clear or colder days. Nights with a full moon are a special treat!

The cabin in the woods was every thing we wanted, quiet, off the beaten path but close to everything. The kitchen was well stocked and accommodated our cooking plans. We slept, rested, and relaxed like a vacation is supposed to be like. We especially loved the hot tub, the close proximity to hiking trails and Helen. Will do it again for sure.

The home was well-equipped and immaculately clean. The beds were comfortable. We had everything we needed. The instructions for how to operate the systems were thorough. Close to nice hiking and sightseeing! I highly recommend this vacation property.

The owners do a fantastic job maintaining this property. The home was very spacious, the bedrooms and living areas were large and plenty of room in the kitchen area. I noticed and appreciated all of the little things that the owners provided. The sheets and pillows on the beds were high quality, there were ample and fluffy towels, stands for our luggage in every room, and even extra outlets allow the kitchen bar area for all of our electronics to charge. The house was immaculate. My family enjoyed the hot tub every night and played games by the fire. The trip to Brasswood Bald road, Unicoi and Helen was less than a 10 minute drive. It was truely close to everywhere we wanted to go. Thank you for the effort to provide a wonderful rental
