• This 2 bed/ 2 bath condo is a professionally decorated non-smoking unit. It offers a fully equipped kitchen with new stainless steel appliances including a dishwasher. There is also a full sized washer/dryer unit.
• The condo has a combined dining and living area with modern contemporary furnishings. There is a beautiful private covered patio with chairs and a chaise lounge. This patio walks out to the pool.
• The master bedroom has an en suite bath with marble countertop, a 32” LED TV with cable TV service, a Blu-ray player and offers large closets with a dresser.
• The guest bedroom has large closets with a dresser. The adjoining guest bathroom has a shower/tub combo and marble countertop.
• Each bedroom has air conditioning and also contains a remote controlled fan and two single beds - (the unit sleeps four adults in total). All linens are provided including beach towels.
• The unit has High speed internet connection, a land line phone for FREE local calls and a Blackberry cell phone is available for international calls (this requires pre-payment) with the service provider.
This is a ground floor condo with walk out to the pool and the lush tropical gardens. Margate Gardens is located across the road from the boardwalk and turquoise beach and is next door to the Lanterns Mall which has a bank, convenience store, pharmacy, boutiques and a food court, including Subway and Haagen-Dazs cafe. Margate is also minutes away on foot from popular restaurants that offer Sushi, Mexican, Greek, Italian, Grilled Fish, Chinese, Tapas, Syrian and other International cuisines. In addition, the lively entertainment district called St. Lawrence Gap is only 4 minutes by car.
Bridgetown 'the city' is only 10 minutes away by car and public transportation is accessible right outside Margate. The Barbados Golf Course is on the way to the international airport which is only 20 minutes away.
Location, location, location! Everything is nearby....the beach, shopping, restaurants....
Finally a rental I would like to stay in......Lots of care and thought was put into decorating the unit - it is cohesive, relaxing and comfortable. No old mis-matched furniture here!
We really enjoyed our stay at this spacious apartment in Margate Gardens. Nicole was always available and helpful to answer all of our needs and questions including good information about the island. She even brought over a BBQ following my husbands special request. This condo was clean and had a nice chic and simple decor. The kitchen was well-stocked with cutlery, dishes, cooking utensils, tupperwear and a cooler, ideal for beach picnics. The grounds had lush vegetation and flowers and the pool area was well kept.The location was great, central to many restaurants, shops and beaches. Accra Beach was a 5 minute walk on the lovely boardwalk (across the road). We rented a car to be able to fully experience the island and were not disappointed. A 10 minute car drive away from Carlisle Bay was great for swimming out to see sea turtles and fish around the shipwrecks. The apartment came with beach chairs, towels, masks and snorkels and a boogy board which helped entertain our kids. We would definitely recommend this rental to our friends and family.
We spent a wonderful and relaxing week in this apartment in early February. I traveled with my Mother, and it was great to each have our own room and bathroom, for the price of a one bedroom hotel room. Throw in the kitchen, lounging area and patio and it's great value for money! This apartment is exactly as described and looks exactly like the photos. We loved the kitchen with all the pots, utensils, Tupperware etc that would ever need, and extra touches like snorkel gear. The location is excellent, 5-10 minutes from the beach, and right next to the mall for supplies and take-away food. Nicole was quick to respond to e-mails and very helpful while we were there. Overall, I would highly recommend this apartment, and have already told many friends and colleagues about it!
We had an incredible stay in an apartment in Margate Gardens, owned by Nicole and Ray. My wife grew up in Barbados and we have been back dozens of times, including three stays in Margate Gardens apartments. This two-bedroom was just perfect for us - and it was especially nice having such great hosts, who went out of their way to make us feel welcome. We were in Barbados for our daughter's wedding, and loved way the apartment could accommodate so many of our guests who would stop by every evening to visit, enjoy a meal and sit in the patio or by the pool. The kitchen was well-stocked with cutlery, plates and cooking utensils, and made it easy for us to have many meals "at home" (always nice on the wallet when traveling!) The apartment is immaculate (thanks also to the weekly cleaning service), and we love the "New York chic" decor. The location is just perfect for us - near to so many restaurants, the Saturday morning Farmer's Market at the Hastings "Rocks", the boardwalk (across the road), Accra Beach (a 5 minute walk) and yet really quiet. It was so convenient, as well, having a washer and dryer. Finally, the apartment came with beach chairs, towels, masks and snorkels and a bogey board - all items that you would wish to have in Barbados, but often either forget to bring or wish weren't filling up your suitcase. We could not have been happier, and highly recommend this rental.
was there last year 5 girls apartment was so lovely and spacious the location is PERFECT everything about the house is perfect the maid who came was also very sweet... Nicole and her husband was so great even though she was in canada she emailed and called to make sure we was ok even when i was sick.... her husband was lovely and very informative ..... i am deffo coming back here... this will be my new home every time i come to barbados... even family who live out here said the apartment was perfect. thanks nicole hope to see you soon.
WI-FI stopped working twice, when it did it was slow, the safe password failed after a day, you can hear road noise in the front apartments. Cheap kitchen cabinets, cheap kitchen utensils. No maid service what so ever. I'm never returning.
The listing was absolutely as described. It is a bonus when you arrive to have everything meet and exceed your expectations. The garden/pool setting was very relaxing.
The facilities and amenities were very conducive to a memorable stay.
We particularly liked the location, the beach is literally across the street and the home is very centrally positioned.
The restaurants Tapas and Champers are amazing and the Tiki Bar all within walking distance.
The owners are very gracious and the customer service, accommodating and excellent.
We have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending this home to anyone who is looking for a great holiday in Barbados.
Margate Gardens is conveniently located directly across from the ocean and the popular boardwalk that runs for 1.2 Km along Hastings beach. Along the boardwalk there are several bars and restaurants. Right next door to Margate is the Lanterns Mall with a convenience store, pharmacy, bank, boutiques and several food concessions including Subway and Haagen-Dazs Cafe. Just one block away there is a gym at Hastings Plaza. Everything you need to make your stay enjoyable is in walking distance. Bridgetown is 10 minutes away by car and public transportation is accessible right outside Margate Gardens.
