This villa is a three bedroom townhouse in the prestigious Delaporte Point residential gated community which is on the west end of Cable Beach Bay. You look out on a sandy beach, which is easily accessed with a 2 minute walk. You can see down the Bahamian Riviera to Nassau Harbour and Paradise Island.
The centrally air-conditioned property is newly redecorated and refurbished and gives luxury accommodation for six people in three large bedrooms. Like the rest of the house, the new kitchen is fully equipped with modern appliances. The house has cable television and free wireless internet is available all the time.
Transport is a breeze - take the Jitney! Jitneys are safe privately owned small buses, which stop on demand. The No 10 Jitney will stop on the roadside outside the gates of Delaporte every few minutes. For a dollar, it will take you downtown or drop you anywhere on route. You can be picked up at your door for activities such as fishing snorkeling, and scuba diving. Cable Beach hotels and Casinos are only a five minute Jitney or taxi ride away. The Atlantis Hotel and Casino on Paradise Island is also worth a visit.
Of coourse some the best snorkeling is right off your back deck .... snorkel gear included

The Bahamas has always been a special place for us. The people make the difference
Well we managed to come back! We have had a wonderfully relaxing two weeks. The thunderstorm was exciting but we have had lovely sunny days. Thank you Charlotte for looking after us so well. We have had a brilliant time!
Our group of 4 adults stayed here for a week in early January. Everything was beyond our expectations. The condo is extremely comfortable and you can't beat the view from the huge sundeck. The colour of the water and the extremely easy access to it was fantastic. Just walk down the stairs or off the pier in front of the condo and you're there. One day we were even visited by a stingray. If we wanted to catch a sunset we just walked to other side of the complex. All the amenities worked perfectly and Barbara the property manager was very knowledgeable and friendly. She can arrange almost anything for you. We were going to rent a car for part of our stay but we found ourselves happily using the jitney service as they came by frequently and we loved the whole experience as each driver has his own style of music so it was always an adventure. We did enjoy the Poop Deck restaurant but our favourite was "Spritz" which is a short walk to the Olde Towne Marina Plaza in Sandyport. We did one organized tour to Clifton Heritage National Park which was well worth the money - a great history tour followed by a hot lunch delivered to our private beach. After seeing other parts of New Providence Island, we were still so happy that we chose Delaporte as our place to stay. It's a fantastic location and from what we could tell, this condo is the best situated one in the complex. Did I mention that the view from the deck is amazing?
We spent 7 days at this townhome during early December. There were 5 of us total - three adults and two small children (4 yrs & 5 yrs). This townhome was exactly as pictured - recent updates make it a delightful place to stay and the location can't be beat.
Falling asleep to the ocean waves and waking up to coffee on the (amazing) patio furniture with a fabulous view, were our favorite parts of this place. You are right by both the pool and the ocean - there were people snorkeling daily off the pier. Our son was lucky enough to see a sting ray one day!
In terms of location in Nassua - you are right in the middle of everything. It was a short drive to downtown (rent a van from Barbara) - and driving wasn't really a challenge. There are two grocery stores in close proximity - in addition to many restaurants. Admittedly we spent many a nights at the Twisted Lime Restaurant/Bar - they had a great selection of food for the kids and everything we had was always very good. We did take advantage of the full kitchen, and ate most lunches and all breakfast's at the townhome - this was really nice.
We spent the majority of our days exploring the numerous beaches (including the one in front of the Poop Deck restaurant - a short walk from the townhome). We did take two day trips to Atlantis and Blue Lagoon Island. Both were a good time!
We anxiously await our next trip to Nassau!
We spent 7 days at this very nice condo during early July. There were 5 of us in the party, two adults, 2 college age girls and one 14 year old girl. The condo was very nice, the A/C was great, the beds were very comfortable, and the kitchen and living room nicer than the pictures. We had no real issues with the condo and Barbara was very helpful if we had any questions. The patio was absolutely fantastic. I loved getting up in the morning and having my coffee and light bite to eat out on the patio, and reading while the girls slept in. We ate every breakfast at the condo and about half of our other meals as well.
I do have some recommendations for those thinking of renting this condo. First off do it, you will love the condo and the ocean out front. We didn't feel the need to go to the beach nearby, instead we would just hang out in the water off the dock. At low tide you could walk several hundred feet out on beautiful sand in waist deep water. The snorkeling is ok out front, but Loves Beach seemed better at times.
If you are in the upper bedroom, you can lower the metal shade which helps with the morning sun if you like it darker. The second floor bedroom (ocean side) metal shade seemed non-functional.
I do recommend getting a car. It makes it so much easier to get groceries, go to restaurants, visit downtown Nassau, and most importantly go to Loves Beach. We absolutely loved the beach there. Very good snorkeling, shade, bathrooms and a bar. The food was ok but I don't recommend eating there unless you really need to.
I terms of grocery stores, we liked the one a little further away from the condo going towards Nassau, it's newer and the prices seem about the same as the closer one. Some food is pretty expensive while other items aren't bad at all. Over all I'd say food is 50% higher than the States.
For restaurants we really enjoyed Twisted Lime for the great selection of pub food and Compass Point for a nicer dinner. The Chinese restaurant Wok and Roll was also pretty good and reasonable.
We didn't do much in the way of night life as we were usually pretty tired from the sun and ocean, However, Curly's is a place a few miles away that has live music most nights and a local crowd (not a real party place though). If you want younger party fun then go to Senior Frogs while the cruise ships are in.
We really enjoyed our time in the condo and in the Bahamas, and I would definitely rent this unit again.
We have been going to Nassau every year for almost 30 years and stayed most everywhere on the island including Cable Beach, South Ocean and Paradise Island. We just returned July 22. We have stayed st Delaporte Point for the past eight years. What the owner has done to this townhouse is outstanding. This year's experience there tops anything that we have experienced in Nassau. The renovations to the house have an inspiring theme that speak to the life style in the Bahamas. It is a wonderful house to have for a vacation and to relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. Most days the water is smooth and the water color is awesome. There are ample and comfortable accommodations for all you need on a vacation; nicely equipped kitchen, large patio, comfortable beds, large living room area. From the patio you can see Cable Beach and Atlantis and cruise ships arriving and leaving the island. If you are patient enough you might see the several turtles that hang out near by in the ocean.
We always go to Nesbits bar and restaurant for dinner at least four or five times. It is where the locals frequent. It is about 1/4 miles west. The food is reasonable and very good, that is why the locals go there. The Poop Deck is just outside of the area on the beach in walking distance and they have great food. We have the Poop Deck set up a table and umbrella for us on the beach and they will serve you food and drinks during the day right outside of the restaurant. At least once during our stay we go to Compass Point for snacks and drinks at sunset. It is about a mile west of Delaporte. They have great food and ocean side views that are worth seeing.
I just realized I never wrote a review for this incredible town home.
We travelled here last July for my oldest daughters wedding. They stayed at sandals resort which was nice but we much preferred our private quiet beach. My two other adult children (28years old & 24) are still talking about the experience. Whether it was drinking on our deck, snorkeling around the point there,( high and low tide), relaxing on air mattresses in the water, or jumping off the pier during high tide, we voted this as one of our best vacations. Although reading the weather report regarding thunderstorms had us nervous, the weather was magnificent. My middle daughter was ready to leave because the day we arrived it was pouring rain. But for the next 6 days we basked in the very warm weather..this was truly an unforgettable experience in a very homey, comfy place! Liquor and grocery stores close by in a car...so cooking was easy.
We just spent a week here and it was amazing. We were travelling with 2 small kids and the place was perfect for us. Most days we had the beach or pool to ourselves which was great. The townhouse was clean and roomy for everyone. The property manager was wonderful and very helpful. We can't wait to go back. This place is perfect for
families with small kids. While our kids napped we could still swim in the pool or ocean because it was right outside our back door.
