Exactly what we needed...
For six adults, five kids ages 2-10, and two boats this place served us VERY nicely. It's a short trip from the house to the dock and all of the windows make it really easy to keep an eye on the kids when they're swimming. The cove off of the main channel is PERFECT and makes for quiet when you want it but still just around the corner from the action. Nice deck and yard...AWESOME dock...layout of the home is very nice--nice open living/kitchen/dining area. We didn't fish much, but we did spend a LOT of time on the water and we couldn't have imagined it working much better than it did here. This place isn't the Ritz, but it is nice, nicely equipped, the A/C blows COLD, water heater works fine, it's clean and best of all, Mandy does a GREAT job of communicating. This was the first time we rented a private home and she helped make it a pain-free experience. In fact, we are booking time in this place again in 2013.
Finally, we wouldn't recommend coming here if you have plans to shop elsewhere or do a bunch of "touristy" things. This is where you come when you want to get away from it all, stay put, and spend time on the water.
Owner's Response: We are so glad you enjoyed your family vacation and have decided to book again! You are certainly correct about being away from it all. Our family usually makes it a day trip to go shopping and ride go carts or go to the Dam. About a 45 min drive which isn't bad if you spend the day but certainly not convenient. Our house is definitely about spending time at the lake! We look forward to your next stay!
