Charming Italian farmhouse, stunning views, near Camerino, Ancona, and Crispiero

Marche is Italy's best kept secret, offering beautiful scenery, amazing wine & food, few tourists, and friendly hospitality. This farmhouse, which has all the amenities and comforts needed, is located on top of a rolling hill and provides a beautiful view of the area. From the small town of Crispiero, you can easily visit local sites, go for day trips to the coast, or do some luxury discount shopping near Sant’Elpidio - Prada, Tods, etc. You also can access Assisi, Perugia, and Rome - which we did on two separate occassions. We also found to be greeted by serenity of this lovely home upon our return from these outings to be highly appreciated. Elaine & Sebastian

The first thing you get excited about on arriving at the house are the magnificent views down to Crispiero and the mountains beyond. The second thing is the sheer amount of space and the lovely flow of the main rooms to make the most of those views. The house is just perfect both for peace and quiet and for lively gatherings.

We sat out on the terrace most evenings, never tiring of those views. We were entertained by buzzards chasing off an eagel overhead and thrilled by an evening storm which saw the valley light up with magical displays of lightening. Every quarter hour we were charmed by the beautiful sound of the church bells trying to remind us of the time.

The house is really well furnished and built in the traditional style but with modern life in mind. The rooms are big and light, the reception rooms have doors opening onto the terrace, the furniture and beds are very comfortable and the kitchen has plenty of the essential pots and pans etc.

The location is great, about equal driving time to Camerino and Castelraimondo where there are very nice cafes, small shops and some decent places to eat. In August the big monday evening antique market in Pioraco makes a good excursion.

We had two groups of friends joining us for our stay and and they have all asked if we can do it all again next year!

The photos on this site simply do not do justice to how fabulous this property really is. Casa Ramadori is brand new with state of the art amenities. It would comfortably suit five couples without feeling crowded. The view over the surrounding countryside was indescribable - medieval villages, hillside farms and beautiful mountains. Depending on the lighting and the time of day, the scenery changed and you could never get tired of gazing out on it from the beautiful terrace. It is a true taste of Italy - Tuscany without the crowds. The owners have family in the area and we learned of the wonderful hospitality of the region. We hiked behind the villa up to the summer pastures where truffles are protected by law. If you plan to explore around the countryside - or farther afield - it is centrally located. Whether you decide on day trips locally, or overnights to other sites, you can be a tourist and still return to the peaceful beauty of Casa Ramadori. We would definitely recommend Casa Ramadori to anyone who wants to have a taste of real Italy. We rented a car and would recommend this to anyone who wishes to do any exploring.
