My husband and I loved our stay , the fact that we had our own little apartment was Awesome. The amenities of being at a hotel were all there, but with an added bonus of your own cottage with a backyard. We will be back and thanks again Eada.
This was my first New York trip and I loved it. I felt quite safe in the neighborhood where we were located. I am a shopaholic, so I feeling enjoyed all the stores. The accommodations were wonderful. The pictures do not do it justice. Home away from home with everything at your disposal. Eada was a wonderful host and I would highly recommend her place to anyone staying in the area. To her...once again Thank you!!!
The unit is very nice and is exactly as described and shown in pictures. The first night we were there I was stressed from traveling and couldn't sleep. As it happened, Eada had my favorite hot tea available in the pantry and it really did a lot of good for me to have this comfort 'from home'. Little touches like this and the first aid materials we found in the bathroom were very nice surprises when we assumed a trip to a store would be necessary. We had a few embarrassing little hiccups (like locking ourselves out late at night) in which Eada came to our rescue, calmly and very pleasantly (quite to her credit!). Thank you for having us. Hope we weren't too much trouble!
The apartment was spacious, comfortable and clean. The weather meant we didn't use the backyard but it looked like it would be nice when the sun was out. The owner, Eada was friendly and helpful. The price was reasonable and we would recommend this as a good place to stay. The only downside was that the subway was a 15 minute walk from the apartment however we enjoyed walking through the neighborhood.
My flight arrived ahead of schedule so I went shopping for groceries trying to pass time. I went to the apartment early just to see if I could put my groceries in since I was early. Eada said it would be know problem and that I could go ahead and check in. She showed me around the place and pointed out where things were located and turned over the keys. The ground floor apartment was a welcome site for my bad knees, which was the main reason I rented it along with the great reviews from previous tenants. The apartment was very clean and cozy for my fiancee and me. Eada was a wonderful and accomodating host that could be contacted at anytime. I just hated that I disturbed her while she was out at the movies. Even though the apartment has a shared washer, there is a laundrymat right around the corner. There is also a supermarket around the corner and up two streets on Gates and their prices where the most reasonable that I found in Brooklyn. Beacuse my Fiancee was up on business I had plenty of time to enjoy the apartment. I was trying to get the DVD player to work so I had to call Eada again. Here she comes to my rescue and got it to working with no problem. I just hope I didn't disturb her while playing the movies. She has a Bose surround system and it makes it seem like you are in a theater. While I was only there for 4 days I saw alot. Went to Prospect Park, The Botanical Gardens even went and had my hair done. I found some great Jazz clubs one is the Blue Note own by Jazz recording artist Chris Botti. The night we went we saw Rachel Ferrell also visit Mahattan. There is alot to do and see but I would need more than 4 days and I would like to visit again when it isn't cold. I would definitely recommend Eada place as I had taken pictures the first night and sent it to some friends. Who said that it was really nice looking and when they come to NY they'll definitely will rent Eada place. I'll be back thanks for being a great host Eada.
We really enjoyed staying in this appartment. For 2 and even for 3 persons it is big enough. It is clean and cosy. The subway is only 10 minutes walk and even a bus to the airport is around the corner.
After a day in busy New York it is nice to go to a relaxed neighbourhood where it is calm and not so crowdy.
If you have enough time to spend, also take a walk trough Brooklyn. It is worth it.
I already recomended this appartment to some friends and i will keep it in mind for the next time i will come to NY.
Eada is a good owner. She is there for you when there are questions or need some help.
When you choose for this appartment, Enjoy your stay!
