Welcome to The Gardens at Discovery Bay. You will enter the gated community and find 'Due South' right on the ocean full of fresh air and sunshine! The guest house provides the privacy you're looking for complete with 2 full bedrooms (queen size beds) and bathrooms. You will have for your convenience a laundry room, computer room, and fully equipped kitchen. There are views galore at every level, from the patio overlooking lush gardens and white beaches, to upstairs with a balcony the full width of the house. There is a bedroom on the first level with an attached full bathroom. Upstairs the bedroom has access to the balcony and there is another full bathroom on this level too. There are 2 bicycles, a kayak, and snorkel gear to enhance your outdoor fun right at the house. You can easily walk to a local popular attraction called Garden in the Groves. This is a tropical garden complete with a restaurant and wildlife, a really fun place to explore.

Also, a convenient walk on the beach will bring you to Banana Bay, relax there with your favorite beverage and local catch of the day. Transportation is available upon request at a separate charge. There is fun in store any direction you head. Come enjoy our paradise and experience any level of vacation you desire. Relax every single day by watching sunset after sunset, or go go go - your choice! Either way, you will leave refreshed and yearning to return.

About Owner/Property Manager

Hi, I'm Lucy and my husband is John Hintz. He is a builder in Roswell, GA and also built our home here at 29 Gardens Drive, Freeport, Grand Bahama. We love spending time in the Bahamas. The minute we land and breathe the fresh air we begin the melt down of relaxation that keeps us energized. We have a large family in the states, full with grandchildren too. So we are always busy. The quiet at Freeport is always welcome. Once you experience this you will know what I mean. We look forward to sharing our paradise with you.

Why Owner/Property Manager chose Grand Bahama Island

It is a short 2 hour flight from Atlanta to Freeport. This is a shorter commute than any drive to the ocean from here. For us, it takes at least 6 hours to drive to any coast from Roswell. In Freeport, the low key island lifestyle is so different than most of the tourist spots we've visited before. When I tell you the property is picturesque, I mean it. There have been 2 weddings at our place in the past year. The ocean view is spectacular. The pool overlooks the ocean which makes entertaining simple and fun. The white sandy beach, and the crystal clear ocean is the most beautiful to be seen anywhere on earth.

This property offers everything promised in the listing and more! We loved the guest house which is very tastefully decorated and fully appointed. The owner was very easy to deal with and professional and the local property manager was the best, handling our every request quickly and with a smile.
The location is very quiet and peaceful.
We had a great time and look forward to our return asap.

We found this home to be an excellent choice for our family. We were greeted by the property manager the first day to see if everything was in order and to help us with any arrangements needed. The home was well equipped and we found the magic jack phone connected to the US was a nice feature, as well as the mobile phone provided. We would most certainly come back to this home.

Paradise

This property is absolute paradise! Very close to great restaurants and the airport. When we arrived the refrigerator was stocked with beer which is brewed on the island as well as bottled water and wine. There was coffee for the morning as well. This was just what we needed to start a very memorable vacation! The owners also work with a local bahamian who is like family to them and I definitely see why! We could call him for absolutely anything and he was there! We wanted fresh grouper, however the grocery didn't have any that day. We called him and he delivered one to us that afternoon....at an exceptionally great price! I can't say enough, but I wish we were still there!!!

Awesome property

This was by far our best vacation. The property is just amazing. From the endless beach views, to the private pool, the beautiful guesthouse with all it's amenities and the thirsty towels in the bathrooms. Lucy left no stone unturned in making our stay just perfect. We have wonderful memories that will last a lifetime. If you stay here, please leave it as you found it as we plan to return again and again.

My fiancee and I have not yet even been here! Our honeymoon is in September and already just in speaking with Lucy, we know we will be having the best honeymoon ever! Lucy has already been so kind and accommodating. I so look forward to speaking with her more! Of course we will put a review on after we stay but we just wanted to put something on now. It is not often that you find such kind and helpful people! We are definitely feeling lucky to have found this property and its wonderful owners! Thank you.
