Welcome to Kanab!
It’s where the old west comes alive! Locals refer to Kanab as 'Little Hollywood' due to its history as a filming location for western movies and television series, such as Daniel Boone, Gunsmoke, Planet of the Apes, El Dorado, The Outlaw Josey Wales, The Lone Ranger, and Stagecoach. Kanab’s stunning landscapes could also provide an ideal backdrop to stage your vacation.
Welcome to adventure!
Situated in the 'Grand Circle' area, Kanab is centrally located for visiting Zion's (30 miles) National Park, Bryce Canyon (65 miles) National Park, Grand Canyon (70 miles) National Park, beautiful Lake Powell (65 miles), or Pipe Spring National Monument (21 miles). Other nearby attractions include Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument, Coral Pink Sand Dunes State Park, the privately owned Moqui Cave, and the largest animal sanctuary in the United States, Best Friends Animal Society. The beautiful Tuacahn outdoor theater in St. George provides New York quality productions (80 miles).
Welcome to fun!
Every August, Western Legends treats guests to captivating cowboy poetry. This one-of-a-kind, premier cowboy poetry event features poets from across North America, Canada, and Australia who compete for prize money, silver buckles, trophies, and a year of braggin’ rights. If you like great cowboy poetry, don’t miss this one!
Welcome to beauty!
Although there are many special places to see in the United States, few offer a spectacular view similar to Cedar Breaks (65 miles). When you arrive, you’ll experience unique high mountain vistas as you stand above 10,000 feet on a cliff edge surrounded by lush forests and flower-covered meadows looking into a desert amphitheater 2,500 feet deep, covered with incredible, multi-colored rock formations called hoodoos.

About Treva Barnson
Bruce and Treva were both born and raised in Southern Utah. Bruce is a retired school administrator and Treva worked for the Veterans Administration for 35 years. We raised our family and worked in Salt Lake City. We retired to this fantastic area of Kanab, until we needed to live closer to our children. We have four grown daughters with families who are our greatest joy.
Treva Barnson purchased this house in 2005
Why Treva Barnson chose Kanab
We have tried to never take for granted the beautiful surroundings, the serenity, the beautiful sky, the clean air and great water.
What makes this house unique
We fell in love with this property because one feels like you are living at a resort. We have five acres around our home which is built on a hillside. We offer the upper main floor, the walk-out basement, or the whole house. Please contact us for up-to-date calendar. Even if the calendar is 'red' we may have one of the floors available.
Guestbook comments from the owner
Cedarberry was more than we expected! This was a get-away for Grandmother with 18 children and the grand kids and we had a fabulous time. The house was immaculate with lovely furnishings, including antiques. We loved the beautiful lawn to play on, and especially the swimming pool and jacuzzi. We'll be coming back again.
