2 Bedrooms: one small and one large for a total of up to 6 guests

Ground floor apartment of our Brooklyn brownstone/townhouse.

The house was built in 1898 and has lots of beautiful original details. Free WiFi included as well as Coffee/tea with a Keurig Platinum Brewing system. The kitchen is fully equipped with plenty of cups, glasses, pots and pans, etc. We recently renovated the kitchen with new cool zinc countertops.

A few blocks to Prospect Park with beautiful walks, great for jogging or cycling. The Audubon Center is right there by the Lake with Boat Rides. At the Prospect Park tennis center, there are always courts available by the hour. Prospect park also hosts the famous Drummers Circle and Brooklyn's large farmers market on weekends at Grand Army Plaza.

There are some great places to eat and drink within walking distance and many many more with a very short subway or cab ride

Lovely stay

We stayed here while in town for our daughter's wedding. This was a wonderful place with all the comforts of home. We were able to get around with out a car as the public transportation was very close. Our hosts were very attentive and yet allowed us to enjoy the space privately. I especially appreciated that there was coffee available in the morning as we arrived very late the night before due to airline issues. They were great at giving us a map of the neighborhood so we could get out and find a grocery right away in the morning. Thank you we will be back!

Our Brooklyn 1/2 stay May 16-21 2013

If you're looking for fancy & fake this isn't the place for you. But if you want a no frills don't bother me stay in a great working class neighberhood with great host/owners then you've come to the right place. Sylvia, Andre and the boys are amazing hosts. They make you feel at home, & give you all the support & info you need to get around the neigberhood. Bus, trains, car service, taxi & zip cars are all a phone call or a short walk away. You'll get a real feel of what it's like to be a local in a diverse neigberhood full of flavor and culture. Walking distance from prospect park, which is a runners wonderland. We would definitely stay here again and plan on it. Plenty of eateries, bodegas, and grocery stores for anything you need. I love that you get to mix it up with the locals. It's a tree lined street reminiscent of o'l Brooklyn circa 1800's. Totally would recommend this location to anyone.

As promised

This property is exactly as it is described on the Honeaway website. The owners, who live upstairs, are gracious landlords who were responsive to any questions/needs that we had.

We stayed with our son, daughter-in-law and 2 grandaughters. The beds were made to accomodate the 6 of us and there were chocolates on the pillows.

The property was also outfitted with a Keurig coffee machine with pods, a French press with ground coffee, bottles of water and plenty of toilet paper, paper towels, shampoo, soap, conditioner etc.

The property is on a lovely residential street but Flatbush Ave. with the Q line and a number of Indian, Chiinese takeout and an Northern Italian restaurant is 5-10 minutes away.

The property is clean and I would recommend it and would use it again.

bellissima vacanza

la casa e' veramente molto carina ed esattamente come mostrata nelle fotografie. Dotata di tutto cio' che necessita nel cuore di Brooklyn, la via e' molto carina con case d'epoca, il quartiere per arrivarci non e' esattamente bellissimo, ma in ogni caso e' tranquillo. Negozi di ogni genere e supermarket nelle vicinanze (alcuni aperti 24 ore al giorno), la metro non e' vicinissima, ma in ogni caso a pochi passi sulla via principale passa il b41 autobus che arriva fino al Barklays center da dove passano molte linee della metro.
Sylvia e Andre sono di una gentilezza incredibile, se tornero' a new york cerchero' di andare da loro.

Great little Brooklyn Apartment

We stayed at the apartment for a long holiday Valentines weekend and had a great time! The apartment is a welcoming cute little space yet very roomy with great artwork and a wonderful eclectic feel, two showers and plenty of room for a family of 6. We even ended up spending an evening in just to rest up and enjoy the space. The neighborhood seemed to be safe and the people walking at all hours of the day and night appeared to be local residents and at no time did we feel unsafe. Parking was tight(it is NYC after all) but there is a parking garage at the end of the block. We found street parking all but once during our stay. The owners are a family and live in the upstairs living quarters and are very friendly and helpful. There was a bottle of wine on the counter to greet us as well. We would definitely stay here again if we get the chance. Thank you Sylvia & André for the opportunity to share your home!
