Relax and slow things down a bit in this charming new “cottage” ideally located within the Saugatuck/Douglas lakeshore community. The modern conveniences combined with classic cottage detailing create refreshing yet simple living in this 4 bedroom/3 bath home. Centrally located between the beach and town, this highly desirable location is sure to exceed all your vacationing needs.

You will quickly settle into this easy layout with a large open main level consisting of a comfortable living room, dining area with seating for 6 and classy kitchen - open enough to participate in all the activity. The painted wood plank ceiling provides the perfect backbone to classic cottage style and décor with a touch of the past. For your entertaining needs you can wander downstairs to a large family room with a gas fireplace, large flat screen TV/DVD and great table for games.

The sleeping accommodations provide privacy and flexibility for families and friends. The main level offers a bedroom with a queen bed. A full bath with walk-in shower is just steps away. The spacious upper level has two large bedrooms with vaulted ceilings, one with a King bed, the other with a Queen. Between the two is a quiet sitting area, perfect for a little retreat. These two bedrooms share a large full bath with a tub/shower combination. The 4th bedroom with a Queen bed is in the lower level which also has a full bath with walk-in shower. Three of the bedroom have large flat screen TV/DVD’s.

The 2 three season porches are sure to become a favorite location to gather. The smaller of the two receives terrific morning sun, perfect for enjoying your paper and coffee as everyone begins to stir. The second is extremely spacious with a dining table for 4 and plenty of comfortable seating to gather in the evenings. Strategically located off the front, it’s perfect for “people watching”. The large stone patio is privately tucked between the home and garage is perfect for those evening BBQs.

Located only 2 blocks from Lake Michigan, you are walking distance to Douglas Beach and only a few minutes car ride to Oval Beach. Don’t forget to rinse off in the hot/cold outdoor shower on your way back from the beach! Combine with Beach Glass, Chapter Two or Douglas Beach Cottage to accommodate larger groups! Terrific shopping and dining can be found in Douglas (1 mile) and Saugatuck (2 miles).
