This modern two bedroom apartment is ideal for those looking to stay in one of the most vibrant and exciting parts of Madrid. Located right in the middle of the long pedestrianized street CalleFuencarral in the neighbourhood of Malasana, the surrounding area is synonymous with cutting-edge style and fashion. The neighbourhood is bursting at the seams with traditional tabernas, independent boutiques, great restaurants and quirky bars, and is popular with students and young professionals eager to sample the newest and hippest additions to the city. Fuencarral itself is one of the best streets in Madrid for shopping, with a high number of international and local brands running the entire length of the street. Just a ten minute walk south leads visitors to the beautiful art deco avenue the Gran Via, while the surrounding neighbourhoods of Tribunal, Chueca and Justicia offer some of the city’s best dining, nightlife and shopping. At the very heart of the city is the Puertadel Sol, which can be reached on foot within only 20 minutes. A number of good transport links mean guests can explore the rest of the city and beyond with ease. The apartment itself is bright and welcoming, with an open-plan living design, contemporary furnishings and splashes of bright colour throughout. The focal point of the apartment is the lovely living-dining room, with a comfortable sitting and television area and a dining table for four. The space is filled with light throughout much of the day thanks to the traditional Spanish floor-to-ceiling balcon window that looks out onto the street below. Pale wooden flooring and white soft furnishings only add to the sense of space and light. The modern kitchen is fully equipped with everything guests may need during their stay, and is separated from the living area via a half wall that has been decorated with contemporary patterned wallpaper. This gives a sense of privacy without losing all the benefits of an open-plan living space. Another balcon window ensures that the kitchen is just as bright as the living area. Each of the two bedrooms has been tastefully decorated in a modern style, with block colours and comfortable beds, and both have plenty of built-in storage space. The family bathroom is large and modern, and has both a bath and a shower. With a comfortable yet stylish interior and excellent central location in one of the most exciting parts of the city, this is a great base from which to explore the Spanish capitial. Surface Area: 78 m2. Forth Floor. The entrance hall leads in to a open kitchen / living room area furnished with a 2-seater sofa, 2 coffee tables (one underneath the other), TV with incorporated DVD player and a wooden dining table for four. The kitchen is equipped with a refrigerator / freezer, 4-ring ceramic hob (stove). The master bedroom has a double bed (1.50m x 2.00m), 2 bedside tables and a fitted wardrobe. The twin bedroom has 2 single beds 0.90m x 1.90m and fitted wardrobes. The bathroom is in-between the two bedrooms and has a bath with shower head. Please note there is laminated flooring throughout the apartment except for the bathroom, which is tiled.
