The village of Rottingdean is a charming and ancient village with a lot of history attached. Being set in a seaside location not for from the City of Brighton & Hove makes it an ideal base for holiday makers, business people and conference delegates alike. The bungalow is set in a very pleasant residential area of the village close to the Downs. There are downland walks close by. A few miles away there is the County town of Lewes with its historic castle and many ´twittens´, old buildings and a variety of shops plus an attractive riverside area of the town called ´The Cliffe´. Further afield you can visit other castles, gardens and stately homes and more seaside villages and towns all within one hour´s drive. The Victorian seaside resort of Eastbourne is specially recommended for its sunny location, sea swimming, theatres, and shops and a variety of entertainments. The ferry port of Newhaven with regular ferry crossings to both Dieppe and Le Havre in France is a short drive away.
