We chose Maroon Creek for it's beauty, gorgeous neighborhood, and proximity to the Maroon Creek Club and the Aspen Recreation Center. The drive into our home is spectacular, surrounded by the Maroon Creek Golf Course on both sides of the road, and just ahead you can see Aspen Mountain, Aspen Highlands, Tiehack and Pyramid Peak. We have recently used an international designer to renovate the home.
The grounds are pristinely kept. The trees and plantings are very attractive. The home is on three levels connected by an elevator or stairs.
The entrance hall is impressive. The living area includes a large Living Room seating 10-12 with fireplace, desk and TV. Many windows add to the ambiance. The Dining Room seats 8 and can be expanded to seat 14. There is a wonderful wet bar in its own room with a Scottsman ice maker.
You will find the Breakfast Room is a charming way to start the day or to enjoy a casual evening meal. It seats 7. There is a balcony off the Breakfast Room with a gas grill which is quite easy to use in the winter. The Media Room has a large TV, stereo, and DVD player. The room includes a desk, card or poker table and a library.
The Kitchen is comfortable for several cooks. It features an island that extends to an eating area with bar stools for 2. There is a Viking Stove with ovens, griddle, 6 burners and heat lamps. The refrigerator/freezer with ice maker is SubZero. Included are several sets of china, a coffee machine, expresso coffee machine, Cuisinart, 2 sinks, TV, microwave, many cooking utensils and pots and pans.
The Master Bedroom Suite includes a fireplace, TV, a seating area for 4, desk with 2 chairs and his and hers bathrooms. Each bath has it's own dressing room and wall TV. Her bath has a jacuzzi tub and shower while his has a shower. There are many windows in the suite providing wonderful light.
The VIP Bedroom has two closets, two very comfortable chairs, an ottoman and a large TV. The king bed can be made into two twin beds. The bath has double bowl sinks and a shower.
The Guest bedroom with a king bed has two closets, two comfortable chairs, a writing table & TV. The bath has a
luxurious tub and a shower.
The Laundry Room is on the same floor as the bedrooms and has a washer, 2 dryers, and a utility sink.
The Exercise Room on the Lower Level has a complete Bathroom with a Jaccuzzi tub. The Exercise Room contains weights, balance board, a treadmill and a Cybex ARC.
The Mudroom has a built in bench and closets and the exit to an enclosed public garage where up to 4 cars can be parked.
A beautiful walk or a bike ride across the Maroon Creek Footbridge will take you to Aspen. The bus stop to Aspen is just across the bridge and bike trails lead to Maroon Bells, Castle Creek and into Aspen. The bus will take you to the Aspen Music Festival, the Aspen Institute, Maroon Bells, Museums, hiking trail and shopping or dining in Aspen.
