Charming Flat in the Shadows of Sacré-Cœur

We stayed in this small little flat in Montmartre the third week of April. Montmartre is my favorite part of Paris, and although very hilly with cobble-stoned streets which were hard on the feet sometimes, I'd still rather stay here than anywhere else in the city. This area away from the tourist sites, but just a 35 minute metro ride to city center, and this apartment made us feel more like locals rather than visitors. The apartment was everything the web site stated and pictures were true to the actual flat. There was even a small balcony overlooking an enclosed courtyard (too bad there weren't better views) where one could hang clothes to dry if needed, as there was only a washer, albeit an efficient one, in the apartment.
Deborah, the owner was very responsive with communications prior to our arrival and even though she was preparing for her honeymoon, she always found time to answer our questions. The apartment was easy to find on the small rue Gabrielle and a taxi ride from Orly took only 40 minutes and cost about 40€. Once there, we were met by Deborah's mother-in-law, since the home owner was away on said honeymoon. This very nice lady showed us the apartment and explained its workings, including the efficient included wifi. She even recommended a few restaurants for us to try. We talked for quite a bit, as she was very approachable.
The apartment is beautiful with modern enough appliances and a great glass inclosed bathroom (toilet in a separate closet). Not to worry for those that are more modest, for there are blinds that pull down for extra privacy. Once we found the switch to the hot water tank (in a panel near the kitchen) the water was very hot with excellent water pressure.
Given the location, the wonderful people such as Deborah and her family, and the nice, clean apartment, I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to my friends.
