This property is conveniently located in the Kendall area, near Dadeland Mall, Museums, Beach, Theatres, Fairchild Botanical Garden, Pinecrest Gardens.Many activities to do with children. Near the Turnpike for a drive to the Florida Keys. Excellent restaurants, Publix Supermaket, Gas Station, Bank, ATM, Ballys. Metro Rail to downtown or other locations only a few miles away.
This home was my families home away from home for five weeks, thus I call it home. Yvonne I really don't know what to say words would fall short of any feelings and thoughts my family and I had staying at the condo. Exceptionally convenient location for all purpose, warm, clean and had all the amenities a complete home would have. Beautifully patio with barbecue . Even when the coffe machine played tricks on us , Yvonne was there with a new one. You really made us feel like home. I would definitely go back and we will. Would recommend this home to all.
We were looking for a quiet place where we could stay with our two small dogs, while helping our son move into his apartment in Kendall. This condo was the perfect fit for all of us. The unit is accurately depicted in the photos. It is well furnished and very clean. We loved the enclosed backyard and deck. Yvonne was always easy to reach with any questions we had. There is easy access to stores and restaurants. We stayed there for one week and we are likely to return in the future while visiting our son.
We had a very nice stay lately at this unit. I should state right off we are not beach people and we just wanted a place to sit out and relax in the sun. This one fit the bill perfectly. The pictures (accurate) showed a deck and a large backyard and we spent most of our time there. We even ate our meals (even breakfasts) on the deck but not supper as the bugs tended to appear around suppertime. The unit is in very good condition and it appeared to have been painted or recently renovated. The unit was very quiet and we never had trouble sleeping. During daytime while outside, we sometimes heard dogs barking but most of the time we heard birds chirping. I should mention the unit is on 88th street which is a very busy street but the unit is at the very back of the development and is about 1000 ft (300 m) from the road so we never heard traffic noise.
We did make it to Miami Beach twice but the trip took the best part of an hour. While getting ready for the beach, we discovered some beach chairs and beach umbrellas in the unit so we were well set up. I already mentioned the unit is on 88th street which is a busy street but it also has a lot to offer. About 0.6 mi (1 km) from the unit, there is a small shopping center with a Publix, a CVS, a bank, post office, few places to eat, etc. About 4 miles going East, sits the Dadeland mail which is fairly big. In the other direction (West) we have Target, Toys R US, Dick’s, Kohl’s, Pier One and a few others. The unit sits between the 874 and the Florida Turnpike so getting around is not an issue.
During half of our stay, we had my daughter, son-in-law and a 7-month old baby staying with us. We found the unit large enough for us. The living room and the bedrooms are a comfortable size. We knew beforehand there were no oven or dishwasher but that was not an issue with for us. On the other hand there was a BBQ which we used a few times. Yvonne provided a Pack and Play with sheets for the baby and he was happy. Yvonne also provided a few small things promptly when we needed them so we had everything required. The WiFi worked well and we used it a lot. The baby had his first dip in the pool which was quiet while we were there. So we were completely happy with the unit.
The entranceway was dark and the patches of lawn close to the entrance were sprinkled with dog doo but our first impressions inside were good and, being set way back from the main road, seemed quiet - but that soon changed. Our main complaints were: no sharp knives in the kitchen - Yvonne provided us with a new knife block 2 days later after we'd told her about it; not enough comfortable seating for 4 adults although the photos show 2 lounge chairs; no bedside lights in the master bedroom - in the photos there are 2; noisy upstairs neighbours who had a dog which played with its toys in the middle of the night, waking us up; barely adequate bedding for the 1st 2 nights we were there when it was quite cold overnight and no extra bedding stashed in wardrobes. After that the nights got warmer and it wasn't a problem. We also discovered there wasn't an oven in the kitchen although, to be fair, it wasn't specifically mentioned on the site but it was a surprise and a disappointment. When Yvonne came to check us out, to add insult to injury, she went through the whole apartment and checked all the electrical appliances to make sure we hadn't broken any! If only she'd been as attentive to the other discrepancies before we arrived. When we told her about the the things which weren't right she seemed disinterested. We certainly wouldn't recommend the apartment to anyone else.
Our family of 2 adults + teen daughter + 2 dogs had to be out of our Kendall-area home for 3 days/2 nights when it was being tented for termites. This sparkling clean, comfortable, lovely condo met our needs perfectly, and Yvonne was extremely gracious and accommodating to some our special needs for moving food from our refrigerator to theirs. All in all, it was a peaceful respite during a hectic event. I would recommend this option for anyone needing a place to stay in the area!
We were a family of 4 on vacation to Miami and the Keys for 4 days.
The owner was very easy and friendly to work with. Clear, precise and prompt responses and payment terms.
Yvonne was gracious enough to accomodate and allow us to check-in at 10 PM in the night.
The condo was very clean and very well maintained. It also had a nice backyard/patio where we enjoyed having our break-fast.
The community was very quiet, peaceful and safe. There was a security guard monitoring and moving around the community overnight. So safety was not a concern at all.
It is slightly away from Miami downtown and the beaches. About 30-35 minutes drive. But I was fine with the distance because I was anyways going to rent a car and for me the price for renting the condo, the cleanliness, the safety factor and peace of mind are more important than the distance to the actual downtown/beach.
