Enjoy the respite of Uptown New Orleans, a short walk from Audubon Park, Audubon Zoo, Magazine Street, Whole Foods, and our finest restaurants, typically patronized only by locals.

Originally built as quarters adjacent to the larger caretaker's home, this residence has been meticulously renovated and upgraded with slate floors and a spa bath. The barge board construction, discovered during renovation and originally sourced from boats that navigated the MS River, is proudly on display.

The rare double lot on which the property resides allows for ample space - and pets - that includes a secluded brick courtyard and green area. Badmitton and croquet setups are available for your use.

Other amenities include satellite TV, microwave, coffeemaker, minifridge, and complimentary internet.

Access via private car, Magazine Street bus, Tchoupitoulas bus or streetcar are within walking distance.

Everything about this home was perfect for us. It was walking distance to the Audubon park and Magazine. The back patio was very cozy and inviting. The owners were accommodating and helpful. We were very comfortable and will return.

I fell in love with this neighborhood on my first trip to New Orleans. The location is fantastic; plenty of cafes, grocery stores and retail within walking distance. All movie channels are available and the soaps and shampoos are fantastic. I didn't want to leave and I'll be back very soon!

My wife, Christine and I stayed at the cottage in October and we had a wonderful time. The uptown location was close to everything, yet just far enough away for it to be quiet and relaxing. The property and accomodations were spectacular and the kitties and puppies made our stay even more enjoyable.

We'll definitely be back!

We loved our cottage! Everything was as advertised.The owners were also great. We had to check in extra late on the 26 so I texted the owner and she was very accomodating. She left the gate open & the lights on for us. When we got there our keys were waiting for us on the door. We felt like family. The animals on the property are very friendly, the linens...as reviewed by others, smell amazing. The shower is also a nice addition. The neighborhood seems very safe & is close to many shops & restaurants. It's a quick drive away from the French Quarter & French Market...Walmart is close by too. If we could change one thing; just adding curtains to the door & one window that is close to the bathroom. The glass looks beautiful, but the curtains would be nice to have for extra privacy. We didn't request any from the owners, but I'm sure they would've been more than willing to grant our request. Thanks for making our honeymoon stay a wonderful one. You have a lovely propety, we would definately consider staying there again.

Don't want to say too much about this place because when word gets out will not be avaiable for me...Great Place, Location is right where I wanted to be. Carrige House is updated with great bed and spa like bath. Loved the shower. My new home when I am in New Orleans. PS Great owner!
