One of a kind rental! This beautiful home is tucked away on a heavily wooded lot in an ideal neighborhood just blocks north of downtown Flagstaff! The home is nestled amongst mature Ponderosa Pine and oak trees for the real mountain town experience. Wildlife such as deer, fox and various birds are sighted frequently. The home decor has a cozy modern rustic feel. Recently remodeled, it offers upscale furnishings throughout, hardwood hickory floors and beautiful new kitchen with natural alder wood cabinets and radiant floor heating. The bright sunlit living room has private wooded views....perfect for reading and planning all your local excursions. The master bedroom provides a Serta Cal King bed with woods view and private full bath. There are two additional bedrooms. One has a queen bed and the other has two twin beds. Enjoy sitting outside on the deck for wildlife viewing, morning coffee, family barbequing and evening stargazing with your friends and family.

My wife Mary and I both grew up in Connecticut and have been together over 17 years. We love to travel and get to know people of all backgrounds and character. My career in renewable energy first brought us here and we have loved it ever since. The people here make you feel as though you have lived here all your life.

Why Eric chose Flagstaff

Flagstaff is such a beautiful town with a great close community. There are endless year round events for families and couples to enjoy. You can't beat this location! Getting close to nature is so accessible. Just walk outside and you can take a trail that will lead you on a two hour loop through pine forests. Or an easy car or bike ride downtown brings you to all the shops, restaurants, coffee shops and nightlife. You can celebrate the Pine Cone Drop on New Years Eve and be back in your living room in 10 minutes....even with the New Years traffic!

This beautiful home is situated on a heavily wooded lot just blocks north of downtown Flagstaff! Enjoy the culture, shops, restaurants and nightlife of downtown, and return to your quiet rental home in 5 minutes! This neighborhood is surrounded by forest trails that lead to Buffalo Park, Thorpe Park, the Flagstaff Urban Trail System and onward to the San Francisco Peaks. Biking, hiking and walking are very enjoyable in this area of town. There is even a small nature trail that leaves from the property to enjoy. Situated in the middle of it all, this property offers a home base for easy day trips to Grand Canyon Nat'l Park, Sedona, Wupatki Ruins, Sunset Crater, Meteor Crater, Lava Tubes, Hart Prairie, Mount Elden,Peaks Sky Ride, Museum of Northern Arizona and the surrounding Reservations. Lake Mary is an easy 14 miles away and offers picnicking, boating, fishing, wake-boarding, water-skiing and swimming. Year round ice skating and Frisbee golf is available at the Jay Lively Activity Center just 4 blocks away. There is also the Flagstaff Aquaplex just a 10 minute drive to an indoor pool with waterslide, fitness center, and rock-climbing wall.     Deposits will be refunded within 14 days of departure, after cleaning and verification of any damages/loss. If the arrival date is less than 30 days from the booking date, then the entire amount is due at booking. Cancellations made 30 days prior to arrival date will receive a full refund minus $50. Cancellations within 30 days of arrival will receive a refund IF that same time period can be re-booked and minus $50.
  • Smoking indoors is not allowed. Outdoor smoking is allowed but putting out or throwing cigarettes on the ground or surrounding deck spaces is not allowed. Violation of either of these will result in retaining a portion or all of the security deposit.

Spacious well quipped house

A spacious well equipped very warm house which has the feel of a cabin in the woods although in reality it is slightly set back from a residential street in a quiet neighbourhood. We saw deer, woodpecker and squirrel from the windows of the house.
The house was always warm and cosy, whatever the outside temperature, and we particularly liked the feel of the heated underfloor in the kitchen area especially at breakfast time.
Good location to visit Grand Canyon, Sedona and Painted Desert and there are lots of local hiking books in the house library.

This is a great property in a great location. The house was very clean and has everything you need to enjoy your stay. The heated floor in the kitchen is a really nice touch, wish I had that at home.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Adventure Seekers, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway

All I can say is wow. We rented this cabin for a surprise getaway for my wife’s birthday and could not be more pleased. The location was perfect, tucked away and right near downtown Flagstaff. The house was immaculate and stocked with everything from plates to wine glasses and my favorite, a waffle iron. The beds were comfortable and the view of the property was amazing. With a total of 7 people we never felt cramped. Eric and Mary were the nicest of people. They even called to make sure everything was ok and if we had any questions. It’s a nice little touch that throws this vacation to one of the best short getaways we have ever had.

Awesomeness at its best!!!

The minute we walked in, I realized that the pictures online did not do this house justice. As for value, we couldn't have asked for anything more. Anything we needed was ready for us the whole week. The house was so inviting and homey. We already have trips in mind for this Spring. While I don't know Mary and Eric personally, I can see that they are thoughtful and accommodating in every way. I would recommend this house to anyone who would like to visit Arizona. Great for couples and even families who are looking for a vacation to get away but not be stuck in a hotel room. Great location, comfy house and beautiful sites!! We'll be back...
