'The Little Beach House' is a cute beach bungalow, located on 4th Ave. N., within walking distance to the center of Jacksonville Beach and all the festivals, nightlife, shops and restaurants. You will enjoy a sidewalk all the way to the beach, which makes the 5 block walk very easy. You are also a very short drive to Mayo Clinic or the TPC.

The cottage is tastefully decorated with comfortable furnishings and an added entertainment area in the back. You will enjoy a fully equipped kitchen, 3 bedrooms, 1 bath, full sized laundry and a screened front porch to for the summer breezes. We have several bikes for your use and an outside shower for rinsing after your fun filled day at the beach.

Great location!/Comfy cottage!

This little cottage reminded me of something out of Crate and Barrel. It is very tastefully decorated and the floor plan has a good flow. The living room and bedrooms are spacious. The only downside is that it has one bathroom (but it's a good size) and you have to walk through the master bedroom to get to the backyard area. I didn't mind the tradeoff with all the other amenities. There is a screened patio in front with a relaxing fountain that was wonderful in the morning. The back has plenty of outdoor seating and a grill. We really enjoyed the two seater bike since you could easily talk and get some good exercise! It's a short and easy walk to the beach (2 or 3 average blocks) and there were beach restroom facilities very close by. We walked down for dinner one night and we ate at the Pita Pit at the end of the street for lunch one day (super yummy, I wish I would have discovered that sooner!). The street is very quiet with not a lot of thru traffic. Lori was the most gracious and flexible hostess, which took a lot of stress out of our travel. I would highly recommend staying here! You won't be disappointed! Better book in advance!

Not sure I WANT to share this!

We had such a great experience, that I'm not sure I want to share it with everyone. We'll want the house available next time we come to Jacksonville Beach! Looks can be deceiving -- the house seems small from the street, but it really is much roomier on the inside. We slept five very comfortably, and had up to 12 people there during the evenings for visiting and BBQ dinners, since it was our meeting spot for our small family reunion. Very clean, comfortable, and the towels are 5-star hotel quality. And boy, were we glad it has air conditioning and ceiling fans! Lori is amazingly helpful with everything. She truly wants her guests to have a good time and be comfortable.
Owner's Response: I feel the same way about a place I really like, so thanks for sharing. It is great to know you were comfortable enough to want to make this the meeting place for your gatherings! Anytime you are ready to come back to Jacksonville, let us know. We will keep the light on!

Our experience staying at the little beach house was great. More than we expected. Our daughter was receiving radiation in jacksonville and we are from tn, so having to make last minute reservations for two months was scary. Our stay and trip turned out to be amazing and more like a vacation than we thought. Its just like being at home. Mrs. Lori and her husband are very sweet people that intend on making your stay as nice and comfortable as possible. We have made great friends and would defiantly recommend the little beach house to anyone and we plan on coming back soon : ) God bless!

We have already booked our next stay at "The Little Beach House". From the very first interaction I had with Lori, we were impressed. Everything was perfect from reserving the house through to check out. The house is equipped with everything you need to feel at home. Linens and furnishing are new. House and lawn are impeccably kept. Location is very convenient to beach, restaurants, nightlife and shopping. Cannot say enough about our experience!!

This was my first time visiting Jacksonville Fl, and I tell you I will do it again in a heart beat 34 hour round trip drive for me. Well first of all I was not excited about the house it looked really small ( Not small at all). The pictures does NO justice at all for this Beautiful beach home the owner put alot of LOVE in this home. Her decarative eye is not shown in the pictures everything was very organized, color theme well put together everything of home was there for me to use (thought I had to go shopping for house hold items I did not). We arrived late thursday night and the owner meet us there she was very plesant very kind and very thoughtful (in my mind i was thinking heaven sent shes a ladie of the Lord). I would recommend this home to anyone thats visiting Jacksonville. We were within distance from everything we wanted to do. If you decide to bring your pet make sure the pet dont get on the owners nice furniture its so nice lap dogs only if you ask me. Everyone I traveled with had nothing but nice things to say the owner has this little scrap book you fill out at the end of your stay make sure you write in it I did.
