I enjoy traveling around the world, eating organic food, and always try to support local agriculture. I love skiing, hiking, biking, swimming, supporting the arts such as the Opera, Jazz, and antiquing in Hudson, New York
We took the time to furnish the house with a mix of antiques and contemporary style. When we travel we notice houses where the guests come first and are well stocked. We look to see if the owner thought of you and supplied you with all the comforts you are accustomed to. We believe a turnkey house is important for your comfort, and have taken great lengths to stock the house as such. Leave your towels, hair dryers, shampoos, and cooking gadgets in the city and enjoy your time at the house.
Hudson is just a 2 ½ hour drive from Boston, a two-hour train ride from Manhattan (NYC) via Amtrak, has a great selection of restaurants, a community that supports local farming, the environment, healthy lifestyle, arts, antiques, and has plenty of interesting people.
If you want to get away for a weekend, but want to still have access to art, culture, and great food, then we believe Hudson is a good choice for your family and friends.
Help yourself to anything from the organic garden. The gourmet chef's kitchen is ideal for cooking with a full stocked pantry, All-Clad pots and pans, and wi-fi throughout the house.
We were drawn to Hudson for a family wedding. Having used VRBO many times we identified this lovely home which fit our family needs for space accommodations and style. We found the home to be well equipped, comfortable beds and nice linens and towels. The management was very cooperative helping with other local details and services. It will not disappoint.
Great property with nice kitchen, comfortable beds and living area. Nice big dinning room table to accommodate a group. We wished we had warmer weather so we could have used the beautiful outdoor courtyard. Walking distance to many restaurants and shops. Really enjoyed our visit!
This is a beautifully restored large home within walking distance of downtown major streets. It was clean, well furnished and the owner input was valuable. We took advantage of proximity to good restaurants and antique stores. Bonfiglio & Bread served up exquisite breakfasts and we were pleased with dinner at; Red Dot, DABA, and BABA Louie's. Highly recommend touring the Olana State Historic Site.
I had a really wonderful stay with my friends for a college reunion here. The house is so beautiful and spacious. The bathrooms are nice, clean and stocked with nice soaps! The linens and towels were fresh. Our group was really into cooking, and the kitchen was really spacious and functional. The huge grill outside was impressive, and we managed to grill a meal for all 12 of us in no time. Booking and checking into this place was also seamless process. I would highly recommend this rental, especially for a large group. Would definitely come here again! (P.S. Sorry for the late review!)
Charming home steps away from all you need in Hudson. Very convenient and very cozy. Only downside is that there are lots of stairs, which makes it difficult if traveling with very young children or elderly persons. Overall great place to stay when visiting the Hudson area.
We really enjoyed our stay at this home in Hudson, NY. It was fully stocked with everything we needed for our four night stay. We were in town for a wedding and this was the perfect location for all of the wedding events. We walked to several restaurants on Warren street - only a block away. We had several people over on Friday evening after the wedding rehearsal. The home was perfect for this. The dining, kitchen, and outdoor areas all flow together for great entertaining. The backyard is beautiful and is an awesome area for relaxing. All of the bedrooms were nicely decorated and very comfortable. We especially enjoyed our bedroom on the 4th floor with a big screen TV! The second floor has two large sitting areas - one of them includes a very nice entertainment area - TV, etc. Plenty of books, magazines, and games to keep you busy if you have the time. Our only problem was that we didn't have enough time to fully enjoy all that the home has to offer. We were on the run almost the entire time with wedding preparations. It was the perfect home base every night after a very busy day. The owner - Greg was so helpful in planning our stay and we really appreciated all his help. We would absolutely stay here again!!
With such a large artist community, Hudson has wonderful art galleries, auction houses, restaurants, cafes, wine bars, and public transportation.
