This 2BR house, located in one of Austin’s hottest neighborhoods, is both comfortable and charming. The bedrooms feature one king size and one queen size bed. The remodeled kitchen is stocked with all stainless steel appliances, plenty of cooking utensils and a dishwasher. The full bathroom has also been remodeled and stocked with plenty of plush towels and linens. The house conveniently includes a washer and dryer. Gorgeous hardwood floors and 10-foot ceilings are present throughout the house and a fireplace, cable TV, wireless Internet and new central air/heat all combine to make the house the perfect stay for any guest. The large back deck sits upon a fenced-in backyard and with an outdoor dining table and Webber charcoal grill the space is ideal for summer BBQs under beautiful Texas sunsets. The front porch also has outdoor seating, including a charming custom-built porch swing, where guests can relax and listen to the birds of Austin sing as the sun goes down. There is an empty detached garage for one car and a driveway plus street parking providing additional parking. The house is equipped with motion detector lights and an installed alarm system that guests are welcome to use if they wish to do so. A futon in the breakfast room offers an additional bed and there are two bicycles available for guests to use. Ceiling fans are present throughout the house. The property is pet-friendly.

The home is just East of Red River Street and nearby favorite restaurants including Mi Madres, Flat Top Burgers, and El Cholito, which is great for fantastic breakfast tacos. The East Side Cafe is right around the corner and is a great place for comfort food and creative cocktails. Also around the corner on Manor Road is in.gredients, a zero-waste grocery store that offers unprocessed foods in environment-friendly packaging. UT campus is within walking distance and downtown is just a quick five minutes away.

Lovely and pristine!

I thought the property was very charming and sweet and very clean. We were very happy with our experience. Both bedrooms were comfortable and well taken care of. This location is very close to some Austin favorite restaurants, and theaters.

Fair place to stay

Upon arrival, the home appeared to be clean. However, we did note later the fireplace had not been cleaned out and there was a strong odor throughout the house. Opening the windows helped. The next day, we found the shower did not work, so we called to let the management know. It took several hours for someone to come in and fix it. There were not many pictures on the wall. It was not as homey as some homes we have stayed in. We did have our dog with us and the small backyard was fenced for animals. The neighborhood was fairly quiet overall considering it was close to I 35. There was a home being built close by, but it was quiet at night. I am giving this only 3 stars since there were issues while staying at this location. I would not recommend this property.

Beautiful old fashioned home with modern updates. I found the house to be very clean and cozy. The location was wonderful. Located right off the interstate and within walking distance of a bus stop. I was easily able to park my car in the driveway and walk a few steps to the bus stop. Help was avalible 24/7 by phone. Quiet neighborhood. I ended up being by myself and as a female I felt very safe! Loved my stay!

Another stellar stay

It's clean, comfortable, and feels quite spacious for its size. Great kitchen, easy grilling and chilling on either the porch or patio. The location is in walking distance to one of our favorite restaurants and coffee shops, and it's easy to get on the access road by I35 to travel into downtown Austin. About 15 minutes to the airport. We have only positives to share!

The first impression upon arrival was not at all like the photos. No one had done any landscape maintenance all year , huge weeds and debris were everywhere around the front and back yard. Upon entering the home, it smelled like it had not been occupied in quite some time, musty and it was HOT, it took 24 hours for the little AC unit to catch up and cool it down. The kitchen was ok, actually it was clean and tidy. The bathroom another story, the linens and fixtures were clean but the floor had human hair and dust everywhere. The beds and bedding were clean and comfortable, although in my bedroom the lamp near the bed was broken and had a 60 watt bulb where it should have had a 25 instead. When on day 2 I wanted to wash some clothes from a workout, I discovered a load of towels from the previous stay still wet in the washing machine, up professional at the least and a little mildewed so I had to re wash those before i could do my own. The management staff was kind and mostly professional although when I discovered that there as not a coffee grinder in the home and called about one, I spoke to a very nice woman who said she'd have to check into it and get back to me, 24 hours later I got a voice mail stating,,,,they could do nothing about it and to take my beans to a local grocer to grind them there. Are you freaking kidding me, over a $20.00 grinder. That was a let down, but not a deal breaker obviously....... All in all, I'd give them another chance, but I'd also fire the house keepers and local concierge for the lack of a pre stay inspection and over all lack luster care for the property and guest first impression. Being visible and greeting our guests with a smile and a hand shake is part of what we get paid for, our owners appreciate that we've met our guests in person, and our guests love it because we have met or exceeded their expectations as well.
