Located in one of Austin’s hottest neighborhoods, this 2 bedroom home is within walking distance to the UT campus, a quick 5 minutes to downtown, and just 2 blocks from the Manor Road restaurant row. The home is only two blocks away from Vivo, El Chile, Salty Sow, Mi Madre's, Hoover's, Eastside Café, Flat-top Burgers, and Elain's.

This comfortable and charming Austin home features two bedrooms, one with a king-size bed and the other with a queen-size, and a completely remodeled kitchen stocked with all stainless steel appliances, plenty of cooking utensils and a dishwasher. The full bathroom has also been remodeled and stocked with plenty of plush towels and linens and the house includes a washer and dryer. Gorgeous hardwood floors and 10-foot ceilings are present throughout the house and a fireplace, cable TV, wireless Internet and new central air/heat all make the house the perfect stay for any guest. The large back deck sits upon a fenced-in backyard and an outdoor dining table and Webber charcoal grill make the space ideal for Summer BBQs under beautiful Texas sunsets. The front porch also has outdoor seating, including a charming custom-built porch swing where guests can relax and listen to the birds of Austin sing as the sun goes down. There is an empty detached garage for one car and a driveway plus street parking caters to additional parking needs. The house is equipped with motion detector lights and an installed alarm system that guests are welcome to use if they wish to do so. A futon in the breakfast room offers an additional bed and there are 2 bicycles available for guests to use. Ceiling fans are present throughout the house, which is a pet-friendly property.

The home is just East of Red River Street and nearby favorite restaurants include Mi Madres, Flat Top Burgers, and El Cholito for fantastic breakfast tacos. The East Side Cafe is right around the corner and is a great place for comfort food and creative cocktails. Also around the corner on Manor Road is in.gredients, a zero-waste grocery store that offers unprocessed foods in environment-friendly packaging.

Cute Home Away From Home

We loved our weekend in this cozy cottage. The neighborhood is fantastic, East Side isn't very touristy yet and we were in a one-block walking distance from great restaurants.
The bedding/beds were exceptionally comfortable. Tons of towels for 4 guests. Loved being able to use the bikes on site - easy ride to UT campus. Super fast wifi. Nice big kitchen -not that we cooked, just space for storing snacks.
I had to dock one star for a few reasons. The bathroom was a little cramped for 4 of us, and the tub/shower was small. The guest staying in the front room complained about street/neighbor noise one of our nights. And windows in the kitchen, although secluded from the street, have no window coverings. The futon butts up against these windows so don't expect to sleep-in on this bed.
All in all, we really enjoyed our stay and will rent again!

We were visiting Austin in order to tour the UT campus. The home was a perfect size for the 3 of us... 2 parents & a teenager who needs his space. It was walking distance to several amazing restaurants, such as Hoovers and Chile. The master bed was extremely comfortable & there were no complaints voiced from the other room either.
