"Thank you Hayley and Fabrice for a wonderful and very memorable trip to the California coast. Our entire family enjoyed your home in its entirety! The bikes were just fabulous - we biked everwhere and never used our car. Your home's character is just perfect and thank you for keeping it so clean and updated. We will definitley return and hope you will have us back"
Had a girls weekend and our stay was incredible! The home is located steps from the beach and close to everything! We took the bike cruisers to Cannery Row and it was an easy and safe ride! The home itself is beautiful and the kitchen and living room have an amazing view of the ocean. Bedrooms are roomy and very nice. Bathrooms are pretty and plenty of room. The place far exceeded our expectations. I'm already planning another trip and have given the information to several friends. A place we will stay at least once a year for a get away! A must if you like this area! You will not be disappointed.
Our family of 4 had a wonderful stay at this 3-bedroom, 2-bath, home rental. The location was great, ½ block away from the water and 2 blocks from Lover's Point, an easy walk to downtown Pacific Grove, restaurants, market, etc. Upstairs, the kitchen, living room and dining room had modest views of Monterey Bay through big picture windows, very light and bright. The kitchen was spacious and well appointed. The dining room table sat 6 with lots of space. The gas fireplace in the living room was warm and added a nice ambiance. The whole home was very clean and comfortable. The owner was quickly responsive to any inquiries and eager to please. I'm sure we will be staying here again! Thank you.
We had a great time during our stay at this VRBO and the layout was perfect for our family. The ocean views from the living room, dining room, and kitchen were spectacular. We woke up every morning to views of the beautiful ocean. It was so close to the ocean and we took several walks along the shore. The bikes were a great addition. The majority of the time we cooked at the rental, which had everything we needed. The two passes to the Aquarium were definitely a bonus. We also had an amazing dinner at the Beach House the last night of our stay, which is just a short walk from the house.
The rental process was flawless and Hayley was very gracious when I called to make arrangements prior to our arrival regarding a UPS delivery (for Christmas). We will definitely be back and we've already booked this rental for Christmas 2015!
We recently had a two night stay after Christmas. Hayley was very responsive to our questions during the entire rental process. The Pacific Grove location is ideal, and away from the Monterey Bay / Cannery Row congestion and crowds. The unit was spacious, comfortable, clean and uncluttered with quality furniture, beds, and electronics, with WIFI as well. This home is located on Mermaid Ave., a cute little alley which is a short 1/2 block from Ocean View on the water. The coastline here is magnificent! I saw two whales on my leisurely 20-30 minute walk to the Monterey Bay Aquarium, stopping along the way to enjoy the scenic coastline. The 2 free Aquarium passes was a great bonus. We will definitely stay here again and will highly recommend this home to our family and friends.
Our stay at this home exceeded our intial expectations. We have stayed in many vacation home throughout the years and I would rate this one as top 5. The home was very clean upon our arrival. The owner Hayley accommodated our request for an early check in at 2 - thank you again! Our baby was able to nap, the street is quiet and all the neighbors very friendly. The parking is small but can fit 3 small vehicles, we only had 2 so it was not problem for us. The bikes were a huge plus, we rented a child's trailer for one of the bikes and it attched wonderfully. We are thankful for the aquarium passes that were provided - this really cut down on our costs. Also cooking in saves us a lot! The kitchen is basic but has everything you could need to cook a meal in. The views were amazing from the kitchen. Just a look over a rooftop and there is the ocean! I never loved doing dishes more. The TV's in all the bedrooms was great for vacationing, I didn't think we would utilize all them but we did. Two kids in two separtate bedrooms, no arguments about what to watch. The fire place was nice, I wouldnt use it to heat the entire house but the heater did just fine at that. The bedroom downstais is a bit colder than the rest of the home but there is a portable heater that worked great. Bath tub downstairs was comfortable, shower upstairs was great, room for both of the kids to hose down after the beach - which is walking distance by the way. Very close. Big beach that is blocked from the wind. It took us 5 min to walk to, and thats slow because I have young children. There is a restaurant 2 min away that is great for lunch - Lovers point grill think it was called. All together, I would reccommend this home for a nice family get a way. It beats staying in a hotel and saves a lot of money. It is was clean, contemporary and the owners were lovely to work with. I will defintiely look this home up again when we return to the Monterey Area.
I stayed here with some of my coworkers and their spouses while we attended an Asilomar conference. We loved being able to walk along the beautiful beach coast from the house in the morning. The large dining area and living room proved to be a nice gathering spot. We felt that this was a very reasonably priced accommodation in a wonderful location. A few of the downsides: you can see through the glass window in the bathroom door (we tested this out a few times)--if you sat in a particular spot at the kitchen table you had a good view of someone in the bathroom--I enjoy my coworkers, but we like our privacy. It seems like it would be a pretty easy fix--curtain, etc. Also, some of the taller gentleman had difficulties with the low shower head. Other than that, it was great and I will likely rent it again with just family. I would not suggest it for people with disabilities.
