Lake Minnetonka is so close to Minneapolis you can see skyscrapers at Interstate 394 and 494! This urban lake is the 9th largest in Minnesota at 14,004 acres (5667 hectares) with about 125 miles (201 kilometers) of shoreline. It's large, and so are your activity choices. Of course everything in Minneapolis is easily accessible (28 miles away), but the Lake Minnetonka Lifestyle offers a lot! Lord Fletchers on Lake Minnetonka seats 300 outdoors at the wharf. Skateboard parks, Mini-Golf, the Beach and Fishing Pier can keep the kids busy. Everyone can appreciate being able to walk to the convenience store, coffee house, big grocery store, drug store, etc. There's always an art fair, farmers market, or festival going on someplace close! Contact us to learn more.
Of course swimming at the beach and fishing from the pier and dock are at the top of the list. Both are only a three minute walk!
Boat rental is right around the point of the bay. Fishing boats, Pontoons for the family, runabouts for water skiing, and jet skis are all available for rent. Pontoons can cost as little as $99 for a day rental.
There are many restaurants... with the grand-daddy Lord Fletchers of the Lake with docking for dozens of boats and seating for over 300 on the wharf!
The Lake Minnetonka and Minneapolis area have art festivals and other festivals just about every weekend.
Many local websites detail events. Or call your hosts, we have an email and our own website with recommendations.
