OLIVE OASIS,SECLUDED WITH HOT TUB, WOODSTOCK AREA

This was a getaway for our friends. We spent the day skiing at Hunter Mountain, which was only 40 minutes away, prior to checking in. When arriving to the house, the house was absolutely beautiful. Clean, amazing decor, and updated appliances. Feels like a million dollar cottage.

Additionally, everything you could possibly need is provided for you. Pillows, pots, pans, blankets, etc... even if you "forgot" something. I almost guarantee that it would be available to you in the home (ex. salt, pepper, conditioner, blow dryer).

Also, upstairs comfortably fits a blow up mattress if need be. The outdoor hot tub and indoor fireplace is a great addition. And the scenic views are beautiful which made for a great hike.

Highly recommend for those wishing to sit in the woods and do nothing but catch-up with friends and family. Not good for partying, going out in the town. It kind of feels like you are in the middle of nowhere. Which, for us, was the point of our vacation.

I was at the Olive Oasis last weekend for a night away from the city. The house was open and clean, with lots of new amenities. The backyard behind the property was beautiful and really reminded me that I was no longer in NYC. It was easy to get to Woodstock and other little towns nearby to explore. I would definitely come again and hopefully stay for longer.

The owner was also very easy to contact. She was friendly and flexible. I'd like to rent her property again when I have a chance to get back upstate.

My girlfriend, another couple and I were looking for a 2 night retreat in the mountains to get away from the daily stress of our lives and this house was the perfect concoction for our purpose. We did not expect this house to have a hot tub outside which was a pleasant surprise and one of the most rewarding experiences of this trip. Imagine a perfectly clear night with cool temperatures in the mid 50's, stars bright as ever and then submerging your body into a hot tub while you watch the steam evaporate and enjoy the wilderness around you. This was complete relaxation which was enjoyed by all of us while listening to low volume relaxing music. This may sound crazy to all of you as it was for us as well; but for the first time we all saw what appeared to be UFO's in sky while in the Hot Tub because we could not think of any other explanation which would cause what we saw. We did see shooting stars and airplanes earlier so it was neither of these; just a solid object as bright as a star moving quickly in different directions. What ever it was, it was our first experience to witness something like this with our naked eyes and none the less quite exciting. Our experience is similar to others whom stayed at this house; great big room to enjoy each other's company together while cooking delicious healthy meals, including the wonderful outdoor gas grill which we used to enjoy our last meal outside on a bright sunny afternoon with all of the beautiful fall colors. I highly recommend this house to relax and get back to your roots as it is set up perfectly for just that!
