Perfectly located in the romantic heart of Rome, this historic apartment (XVI century) is newly renovated and decorated in a very refined and luxurious style.

My name is Giorgia and i'm the manager of this beautiful apartment. I'm very glad to know you and help you in all questions you have regarding your journey here in Rome.
I have studied History of Italian Art and wrote my dissertation thanks to Vatican Library, so I will try to suggest you the best way to love this city and italian art.
Giorgia Lauricella purchased this apartment in 2009
This property is a charming piece of art of Rome. it is perfectly located in a strategical position that help you to reach by foot the most important places and monuments. The old details inside the apartment create a very romantic and luxury atmosphere that you will remember forever.
Original XVI century high ceilings, all original decoration in gold and wood, the closeness to Navona and Pantheon square and all historical area, are the two most important things that my guests have to remember and that they will love of this apartment.
Several things make this an exceptionally wonderful apartment for a Rome vacation for a family.
First, the location is superb. For practical needs, it is one block from Piazza San Eustachio which has two bars to get coffee and breakfast pastries (one of them famous) and a pizza by the slice place which was good. One block in the other direction was a main thoroughfare with a taxi stand, grocery store and bank. For sightseeing, it was literally 2 blocks from the Pantheon and a very quick walk to Piazza Navona and Trevi Fountain.
Second, staying her is like staying in a piece of history---a museum or church. The sky high original 16th century carved ceilings, beautiful wood work on the doors and doorways, the monumental historic front door, and period furnishings made the family feel that their Roman experience continued while we were in the apartment. It was a very special space to be able to stay in.
Third, Giorgia was an exceptional hostess and property manager. She was extremely flexible in making last minute arrangements to rent the apartment, was flexible with our changing flight plans, our limited ability to communicate, our banking issues, and she met us with a friendly smile and helpful information, which was welcome after travelling so long and being so tired. She was wonderful. Whenever we had a request while staying in the apartment, she responded immediately.
Finally, travelling with two teenage daughters it was awesome to have two bedrooms AND a sleeping loft AND two identical bathrooms. The WIFI worked perfectly to support 7 devices at once.
Two things of note. The apartment's windows face the street so there is some street noise that may only be an issue if you have jet lag and are struggling to sleep like us--so just bring some ear plugs. (Some street noise is to be expected--you are in the city on a narrow cobblestone street!--just plan for it)
Second, tell Georgia in advance if you plan on using the bed in the sleeping loft so they can make it up in advance.
This is my first review of this property, but it was the second time I have stayed here with two other adults. Everything in the listing description is extremely accurate. The location is fantastic. Five minute walk to the Pantheon, quick bus ride or nice 20 minute walk to the Vatican. The interior is absolutely beautiful, the photographs only begin to do it justice; you have to see it to fully appreciate the beauty of the architecture, furnishings, and design. The property was very clean and everything was in working order. I can say so many good things about the property manager. From the moment I booked my first stay here, she was extremely friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, and professional. She was even willing to indulge me in the practice of my Italian language skills which were quite rusty! She was reachable at all times via a quick text message or phone call and was extremely prompt in addressing any concerns that we had while we were there. A few examples: I locked myself out of the apartment late at night and she sent someone over right away to let us back in. The hot water heater had a problem, but it was fixed relatively quickly. Since this was my second time booking this location, she even offered to stop by personally so we could meet face-to-face and enjoy some brief conversation. I would advise anyone to try the restaurant Vecchia Locanda, which is located on Vicolo dei Sinibaldi right behind the apartment: the food is fantastic, and it is definitely a local "non-tourist" spot. A small supermercato is directly under the apartment, and was perfect for picking up items for our small kitchen. Overall, I have nothing but good things to say about this spot. For those with a large family, especially with children, stay here! The kids will love exploring the interior of the apartment, and will feel like royalty as they enjoy the decor and furnishings of this impressive space. The two separate but identical bathrooms with large showers are a rare perquisite for anyone traveling with others. Buon Viaggio!
We had a magical stay in Rome, falling in love with the city and our spectacular apartment on 4 Monterone. The apartment is situated perfectly and beautifully appointed. Giorgia and Scilla were extremely helpful and always ready when needed. We will be going back, undoubtably. We loved it!
We were completely happy with our stay in Monterone 4 in Rome. The apartment is in a tremendous location. It is very close to the Pantheon, tourist sites and excellent restaurants. Our hosts were extremely helpful in arranging transport to and from the apartment and in recommending restaurants etc. Anything we needed was quickly addressed. The apartment itself is very attractive and spacious with magnificent ceilings. The master bedroom is a delight to occupy. The 2 complete bathrooms was a very useful feature when staying with a family of 4 as we were. I would thoroughly recommend this property and wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.
We enjoyed our stay in this beautiful apartment. It was clean, spacious, and very nicely air conditioned, which we appreciated immensely after hours of walking in the July sun. The high decorated ceilings were gorgeous and the building was like entering a manor. The location could not have been better. We were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go, from the popular attractions to the neighborhood wonderful restaurants. Giorgia was extremely helpful scheduling us cars to and from the airport and train stations which was another wonderful addition. I would recommend it highly to anyone visiting Rome.
My family of 4 had a wonderful time in the apartment. The description of the apartment was
extremely accurate. The location was wonderful with nearby restaurants, coffee bars, and a few
markets. One market, was just next door. Giorgiana was a dream come true. She arranged transportation on our arrival. Our plane was an hour late and the driver she arranged was there waiting. She met us at the apartment which was not ready and treated us to a traditional Italian coffee. She was available for any questions regarding our stay in Rome and the apartment. The air conditioner when we arrived was not working and they had temporary units and fans set up for our comfort. The owner was there making sure the air conditioner was repaired the following day. Giorgiana checked with us the next day to make sure we were comfortable. The service was as good as any first class hotel if not better.
You can reach Navona and Pantheon square in 2 minutes by foot, with their restaurants and café. Under the apartment there are a supermarket, a post office and in the adjacent square the most important buses and taxis stops of the historic center
