Taking FOUR 6th graders on Fall Break is crazy enough, but after our initial rental fell through we were (extremely lucky) able to stumble across RTS. The owners are absolutely amazing and saved our vacation! We normally don't stay in BMB, but this trip opened our eyes. Our friends always said "Stay in Seaside...look at all the shops!" But with all the shops comes all the crowds. RTS is close enough to the shopping and food, but since Blue Mountain is surrounded by forests on 3 sides and water - it felt like we had a private beach.
Arriving late at night we were impressed enough with the house (super clean, very roomy) and we couldn't believe what we found when we woke in the morning. Our kids hit the sand at the crack of dawn. There is a good expanse of beach between the end of the boardwalk and the edge of the water. It was so wonderful to be close enough to the house that we could easily go back and forth for naps, food and sunscreen. Some of our favorite things about the house and beach? Proximity to Seaside (not too close, not too far away), the closet full of beach toys for the kids, beach chairs, spacious bedrooms and bathrooms, perfect white sand, catching crabs at night by flashlight & 8 bikes! After playing in the pool, riding bikes and frolicking in the sand & surf...this fall break started as a disaster and ended to be the best one yet!
