Golf: The central feature of the resort is the magnificent newly constructed 18-hole course, designed by Dave Thomas and with Sam Torrance as its Captain. Several prestigious tournaments have already taken place here and the course is attracting attention from some famous sporting stars. It has been built to the highest technical specifications and features a rolling landscape, with lakes, palm trees and lush vegetation, making the course both attractive and challenging. The facilities include a practice range, a putting green and a Club House with a restaurant enjoying unbeatable views over the lake at the 18th hole, and magnificent cuisine. For those wishing to improve their game, Roda has the latest video and custom-fit technology available, including simulators, computer-assisted learning and equipment for analysing and measuring all types of swing. Plus instructors who are all PGA-certified.
Roda Golf and Beach Resort lies very close to the many 'blue flag' beaches of the Mar Menor on the Costa Calida, an area which boasts over 300 days of sunshine a year and an average temperature of over 20degrees. The area is known as being the healthiest place in Spain in which to live. The level of salt water in the sea makes it famous for it's healing properties and the water temperature is about 3degrees warmer than the Med. The resort is not just suitable for golfers but also for families and groups of friends. The local town of Los Alcazares is still very Spanish with a great emphasis on family life. The city of Murcia lies about 40minutes drive to the north and the historic town of Cartagena half an hour south. There are many activities in the area including many water sports, go-karting, bicycle hire and, of course, the many new golf courses.
Other Activities: Go-karting
